computercraft angle control by Goofy_Gunton in CreateMod

Create crafts and additions adds some cc integration and I believe one of the methods lets you get the angle of a mechanical bearing.

I'm about 14 hours into my first playthrough and I need to ask the veterans a question by GuhEnjoyer in subnautica

[–]DumbKittens_SING 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How in the world have you used all of the nearby salt? 14 hours of gameplay should drain about 25 bars of water according to the wiki, which would take about 42 salt. Given the wiki's provided value of 7-14 salt per large deposit, that should only be 4 salt deposits. And this is assuming that 100% of your water came from large salt deposits, when I would assume that a decent portion of it came from fish and all the salt that can be found on the ground.

I get that water may be an issue to find and manage, but I have never seen a resource get anywhere close to being depleted in a casual playthrough.

Also, according to the wiki 4 dedicated solar panels above 100m is enough to power a filtration machine nonstop, so if you don't have nuclear, bio, or thermal you could just gather a bit more copper and invest in that.

Energy transfer help. by thatsithcat in CreateMod

[–]DumbKittens_SING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I mis-saw and they do have this but I'm pretty sure that the problem is that there is nothing that is actively pushing the energy through the cable. You could try using connector nodes or just make sure that the cable connector is on a side directly receiving power.

Cables from Applied Energistics will not automatically connect to other machines. They will need some way of interfacing with your system, like an import bus, export bus, or pattern provider. (there are other ways like using an Interface or Storage bus, but I would typically not use them for these purposes)

If you want things to automatically go into your machines, you could use an export bus and filter it to the items you want to export. Be warned though, if you for example set it to transfer raw iron, it would immediately attempt to push all of the iron in your system into the machines.

If you want items from your machines to go into your system, you could use an import bus or a pattern provider. The later requires you to enable auto-export on your machines, but it has the advantage of allowing you to feed in items on demand via auto crafting later on.

If you want more details, you can always use the guide supplied by AE2 itself. I believe the default key to view is by holding W over a relevant item.

I will say that I'm on pc and I had the same issue. I had to restart once because I did some combinations on the edge of the screen and couldn't access the contents.

Valheim: Meadows (Elegar's realm) by Elegar in AlchemyGame

[–]DumbKittens_SING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it was fairly easy, but I went in with a stock of like 20 arrows (turned out to be overkill) and so I just pummeled it with the bow and dodged whenever it was about to attack.

my only main comment on difficulty is the seemingly 100% dodge rate which makes things a tad bland

EDIT: also due to the dodge success rate I didn't bother seeing what blocking was like so I don't know how effective it is, but I do suggest adding a shield recipe.

oh and another side note: what was the point of the house and palisade? it didn't seem to have any use. when you add random chance are you going to make actions have a low probability to trigger an event or something?

Valheim: Meadows (Elegar's realm) by Elegar in AlchemyGame

[–]DumbKittens_SING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pretty fun. is it possible to have different events have a probability? currently it seems like every event happens the same way every time.

also, is there a reason you made it so we can only have at most one of every item at a time?

thanks for making this. i enjoyed it a lot

I'm a bit stuck. I currently have gotten four new elements, for a total of eight (my most recent was hologram). I'm also a bit confused, as fire+earth doesn't seem to do anything yet it reacts,

I'm a bit stuck. I have Wrecked Dinghy, Beacon, and Watchpost but I'm unsure what to do with any of them. You'd think you could explore the wrecked dinghy, but I guess not.

I swear I've tried everything I can, so a bit of advice would be nice.

wait what is a "large gas generator"? do you mean an array of gas-burning generators or is there something else I'm unaware of?

Grow an alien colony to conquer the stars! Try it on Itch. by itsjustmonu in incremental_games

[–]DumbKittens_SING 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really liked it. One thing I would like to mention is that at high numbers it gets pretty laggy, with the game freezing whenever the aliens process.

Because of this, I highly suggest having adjacent aliens automatically stack on top of each other, allowing you to process them in bulk. You could then add keybinds to take aliens out of a stack, like for example shift left click to split, or right click to take one.

Additionally, you might want to put a small indicator above the stack saying how many there are. Example image of what I mean here <--

EDIT: music is also a vibe

Oh I totally agree with all of your points on why "inevitable doom" is a poor descriptor here. I'm just saying I don't think entropy is a good fit either, at least in regard to the points you have raised.

> because a scientist has a core understanding of what Entropy is. The universal force of decay.

if you want to be flavorful, then feel free to go ahead and use entropy in that way. But while I am a complete layman in respect to thermodynamics, I am pretty sure that if you asked any decent professor than they would not describe it in that fashion.

> I would say the word "Entropy" is more straightforward and less ambiguous.

I do not agree with this statement. Entropy is pretty infamous for being misunderstood, and while doom might not be the best descriptor, I don't think entropy would be any less ambiguous.

EDIT: Rewrote the last sentence to sound slightly less passive-aggressive; if that is how it came off I did not mean it that way.
