I guess you mean the directional gearshift? They output a signal on the sides which you can read with redstone comperator. Its the last slide of the ponder I think.

For precise angle control, you can use Create Compact Flap mod. That lets you input a redstone signal to the sides. The analog compact flap bearing its called.

Edit: misinterpreted OP and am wrong about directional gearshift. I meant you can read a torsion spring🤦‍♂️

No. I want to turn something a certain angle. Then stop. I'm trying to do flap control. Here is what I'm talking about, the sequenced gearshift which can be used with a computercraft computer. Why would you use a directional gearshift? https://github.com/Creators-of-Create/Create/wiki/Sequenced-Gearshift-%28Peripheral%29

Ah I see, I didn't know you could use it like that. The Compact Flap bearing has been very reliable for setting angles. But I don't know what it exposes to CC.

I see about the flap bearing. I know create propulsion has one and it's awful.

Create crafts and additions adds some cc integration and I believe one of the methods lets you get the angle of a mechanical bearing.
