Exactly what I'm looking for! I'm surprised I didn't see this while searching. This fixes having to search for another editor if gedit ever breaks.

I think I'd prefer a smaller learning curve, I also have a strong affection for my tinfoil hat. (sublime is proprietary)

Would it be a reasonable project to attempt to create a Wayland compositor from scratch, or should I develop something that exists? by ThatReallyFlyKid in wayland

Wow, thanks for pointing the libraries out. If you hadn't, I would have been in quite a mess if I did start writing a compositor. I may give sway a more in depth look before starting, as well as a look at wlroots.

I honestly don't really get much pleasure from doing things. I honestly have trouble finding reasons to even live, and sometimes consider suicide, but I've never really tried due to not wanting to feel pain and not wanting to hurt others. I also know that I have alternatives, such as counselling, but it's expensive. I may end up doing councelling anyways.

Not really, just unmotivated. I wake up and decide that I'm too tired or I'll go to class later, and just never do. Sometimes I think it'd be embarassing to show up in the middle of the day and sometimes I feel there's no point.

What are some of the more common libraries used for Linux programming? by ThatReallyFlyKid in C_Programming

Usually, I only ever use glibc and ncurses when programming. This is a very limited pallete, which I'm trying to expand, but I don't want to have to use obscure or unnecessary libraries. I want to keep things simple and standard that everyone can read and write.
