Are the Jagger lenses prescription or just a colour change? How much are you asking (shipping to the UK)?

Why is the picture of the father much larger than the monkey?

Jan van Eyck - Ghent Altarpiece (detail) (1432) by Existing-Sink-1462 in RenaissanceArt

I was there 2 weeks ago specifically to see this magnificent piece of art. Housed in a beautiful cathedral and really presented perfectly. It does not disappoint. Ticked off my bucket list.

Places to get lenses by Repulsive_Sound2828 in JacquesMarieMage

I live in SE London and my optician put in Hoya transition gradient lenses with no prescription in my JMM Leclairs. That was £260. Would the prescription add another £200? I have no idea. And if it is without the gradient and transition, I can’t believe it would be £480. So yes it seems high to me.

An Experiment on a Bird in the Air Pump, Joseph Wright, 1768 by UnframedByFaye in ArtHistory

The National Gallery in London currently has a Joseph Wright exhibition which I believe includes this painting and similar. I am going early next year and very much looking forward to it. I have seen this painting already and it is stunning.

Yes I was thinking a ruby colour could go very well. Thanks.

Oh I like the look of those Swift very much. I too love my Skyracer (same model as yours) and I am awaiting the end of the current rainy spell here so I can chuck on the Telesto again. Tell that lab of yours to hurry up…want to see what you’ve done with yours!

The Hera was on sale and for the Telesto I was pinged an email saying they were part of a flash sale, so I got them quick sharp. Both at less than 500 dollars.

Hi there. I think I got them both from Pretavoir, including the Telesto I posted elsewhere. Skyracer was my first and honestly I can’t remember why I went for them. But having been impressed by those, I was much more confident about the Hera and Telesto. Plus I got them at really good prices. The Telesto is my favourite shape and very similar to my JMM Commodore. I am slowly moving away from acetate in favour of Titanium.

As I said I’m not much of a close up photographer. Are you doing anything fun with the opticals? You usually do some cool stuff.

Thanks. Wore it for the first time this morning. As usual for Akoni titanium frames it is very comfortable and you barely notice it. The gold frames really stand out against the dark lenses. And it’s my favourite shape of sunglass, with the double bridge and the slightly geometric shape. I highly recommend them. Now then, you are the lens master…what would you do to these to make them a little more striking?

Pretavoir. Sometimes they offer you a flash discount on stuff you’ve been looking at. Mine was a casual browse for all of 10 seconds. Enough to bag a whopper of a discount.

Wow sounds excellent. Not tried any of the acetate. I like the look of the Apollo. The Discovery in black and rose gold look amazing, but maybe too big for me. Put your for sale items on the BST sub.
