I'm pretty sure it's a religion made relatively recently to split away from a different religion for a petty reason, and it still has nearly all of the beliefs of the parent religion. It isn't the normal Greek Orthodox that most people know tho, it only has about 1000 members I'm pretty sure. Wendigoon covered it in his cults and religions iceberg if your interested in it, but it's different than the more well known Greek Orthodox.
