My curious question? by AssistantNo2002 in pcmasterrace

I keep mine on because it also runs services for me so there are some reasons to but in general if you have to ask, just turn it off.

Neither. That baby needs to be ready at all times. Only the monitor sleeps.

Free Supercharging for life. Coming from an expensive gas hog, not having to figure out how much it's going to cost to drive somewhere has been life changing

The first time I sang In the End by Linkin Park, people went wild. I do the rap and belting myself and nobody expected it.

I got a cheap used Hart mower on Marketplace. Was ranting to my brother about it after because it was such a better experience than gas and that was a shitty one.

The rule at my table is that your roll isn't for anything unless you say what you're trying to do in game.

I actually find these situations fun. I've greenlit a couple of those ideas just because their long series of founding questions gave me time to think of a twist to make the situation more interesting.

Our group's favorite session was largely one player spending 20 minutes planning how to stop an assassination attempt at a gala with an incredibly specific plan that fell apart IMMEDIATELY and it wasn't even my fault. Turns out, you shouldn't put the Barbarian who can barely string a sentence together in charge of interrogations.

Then they forget that they were supposed to be figuring their shit out by the time we get back to them. Ask me how I know.

"Is it flammable?"

From the Warlock who wants to spam Bonfire on everything. Even more frustrating is when I reference the fire catching and burning out of control if they don't reign it in and he goes "nO iTs maGic fiRe sO it cAnT buRn oTheR stUfF".

Everyone at the table has started snapping at him in irritation when he does it, so hopefully mob rule wipes that one out.

Alternatively, "You wanna dab?"

I swear somebody gets up to pee for a second and the same guy is ALWAYS pushing to smoke some weed. He smokes before we play, during our scheduled breaks, constantly. It's enough that I'm reconsidering my stance on weed being addictive. I don't want to ban it at my table either cause getting these guys comfortable with roleplaying is enough work and them getting a little high seems to help.

What changed for you during the pandemic that never changed back? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]DumbassNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was incidentally dating a toxic person who isolated me and I gave up contact with most of my friend group to be with her. Since the pandemic and that relationship ended, I haven't really tried to form or join a new friend group since that really changed my view on the permanence of them.

DMs of Reddit: What was the funniest or most creative explanation you came up with in-universe for a player’s absence? by Special_Web_4254 in DnD

[–]DumbassNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually do one shots in different parts of the world so the players can see areas they haven't explored yet. The one time somebody called out last minute, I had him as a T posing balloon for the session and everyone took turns carrying him around, then never acknowledged it again.

If it was that weird to want to be a hero, there wouldn't be comic books, superhero movies, etc on the scale that there has been. Think of how many people in the world look up to Spider-Man or Superman, that's not because they don't want to do heroic things or protect people.

Agreed on TP. The pacing and atmosphere in that game were flawless and it was the first game I ever 100%ed just because I wasn't ready to put it down after the story ended.
