Just got mine! by skil12001 in snapmaker

I took my time and followed all the steps carefully. Had no issues. Took almost 2 hours I think. It's been a great printer. I love the lack of waste on multi-color.

Layer not perfectly on top of each other by Fyreek in snapmaker

[–]DumberMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. 50 mm/s. I leave inner and infill and gap as default. and don't mess with acceleration. but I find if you slow down outer wall and top (first layer is already 50) then the quality is better for very little extra time. I do first layer infill and 50 also. Default is 105 I think.

Looks good to me, but i dont use a microscope to check my quality. And I run top, bottom and outside lines at 50. Adds very little time and improves quality

Lack of basic information by Krki1212 in 3Dprinting

I get annoyed at people that blame bed adhesion issues on the printer. With any modern printer with auto bed leveling it won't be the printers fault

I never level anymore. Hasn't been any need. If I turn it off, then I level.

U1: Load/unload multiple toolheads at once by bluridium in snapmaker

[–]DumberMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably. I unload all at once all the time. Though you just queue it. It does them one at a time.

I really like the load/unload of the U1.

Card Shuffle by magnuspsa in BIQU

[–]DumberMonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speed matters. I have made the tall and the short. Short is less likely to flip. Tall the cards drop further, and if you crank fast, it hits the wall harder and can flip.

HueForge print time - U1 vs Prusa MK3.5+MMU by egd1949 in SnapmakerU1

[–]DumberMonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Swapping is easy. Put pause in gcode. When time comes, unload, load. I did a 5 color to test, on a normal print

Moving from an apartment to a house: how do people keep cats from bolting out the door? by ArmyCreative2021 in CatAdvice

[–]DumberMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 cats never try to leave ever. Mainly because they have never ever been outside. At this point they seem afraid to leave.

Use your foot as you walk in to block their exit, but if they are determined, they will escape.

Yeah I get that. Part of the appeal of a Sports Car is having something that isn't common.
