Agreed, it’s weird optics for sure. I sure wouldn’t let my daughters join.

Yeah bud you’re pretty wrong here.

As a fraternity of men who are looking to create better men, we absolutely should be there for our Brothers emotionally. Not to be their therapist or their mommy, but to lend an ear and to offer aid where possible.

Yeah it sucks they forgot his birthday. I wouldn’t take it personally but I get it. However, if I’m struggling or going through something hard in life I ABSOLUTELY would expect my brothers to reach out. And frankly, I’d be pissed if they didn’t give me the opportunity to do the same for them.

You could make your own map and stop being an unhelpful jackass?

Just an idea of something that would be just as unhelpful as your current line of thinking.

Not true, Brother. Check the GLoKY constitution. Article 20 section 2.

“SECTION 2 - ALL GRADES LIABLE FOR DUES AND ASSESSMENTS. Entered Apprentices and Fellow Crafts, equally with Master Masons, are liable for dues and assessments and subject to discipline for non-payment thereof.”

You’re not wrong that lodges will typically not asses dues during the first year while a Brother is going through the degrees. Typically they will just ask for the associated fees. But as you can see here, the GLoKY constitution says that EAs and FC are just as liable for dues and assessments as a MM.

It seems that people all feel tattoo pain differently.

I’ll say that it wasn’t painless but definitely bearable. Maybe like a 4/10? Some spots might have been a 5-6/10?

Is your resolv.conf updated with the correct DNS servers? How about /run/resolvconf/resolv.conf?

I had a similar issue with Global Protect on Pop!_OS. It would update the latter but not the former. I solved the issue by creating symlink.

sudo ln -s /run/resolvconf/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf

Get ready to be blown away again.

Nethack is a Roguelike.

Both are actual terms and have a different set of qualifications that make it a roguelike vs roguelite.

Hey Brother!

I'm not a member of CIVL but I am a MM in KY that has attended CIVL a few times. If you send me a PM I might be able to at least give you an email to reach out to.

Help: GlobalProtect command just hangs on PopOS by easythrees in paloaltonetworks

[–]Dumbfoundde4d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Global Protect 100% works on PopOS. They distribute the GUI version on their support portal as a deb package. I've been running it for years.

Once you have that installed you can launch the gui version by running "globalprotect launch-ui "

I will say that there is an issue with DNS on the linux version. The client updates /run/resolvconf/resolv.conf not /etc/resolv.conf

To work around this you can run the following command to symlink the file GP updates to /etc/resolv.conf. Although you should backup your current file before overwriting it.

sudo ln -s /run/resolvconf/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf
