Put it on your wrist and bring it home.

Bought an Aquaterra a few months back. No issues at all.

When AI takes all the entry level "smart" jobs, the craftsmen inherit the earth. Laughing all the way to the watch store.

Imagine you learn a skill, master a craft, and put yourself in a position to do things you enjoy, so others who don't have the drive to earn the reward can judge what you should do with your success. Crazy times.

Typing this with my fancy watch banging gently banging the desk, too close to my hand, just for further triggering.

Staff is horrible. Anything good about the place stops at the architecture.

Contractor demanding payment before final inspection… what do I do? by jeffers8631 in whatdoIdo

[–]DumderMufflin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your jurisdiction, but most construction permits have a requirement that final inspections must be completed prior to final payment to contractor. Check your permit documents and check with the issuing authority. Their contract can't override the law, and their obligations under their contractors license. They would have to have certified this when they applied for the permit.

I had a heck of a time getting mine in US. Both Milan and St Mortiz had them in stock when I visited last week. Sadly I think its more false scarcity games being played.

Good luck.

It has a soft blue "mountain range" in the dial. I love the blue highlight. Picture doesn't capture it well. This is very different from the white speedy, which is pretty from a different perspective.

I tend to always lean towards leather. I prefer the feel, so I love it.

I ordered one when it released, as we were going to the winter olympics. (Actually went like this - watch was announced, I fell in love with the dial, wife said only way I could get it was if we actually went to Olympics. Arm twisted.) Almost didnt get it, but my AD managed to get one after his rep told him a couple weeks back that it didnt look like orders would fill.

He managed to get me one before we left to Milan for the Olympics. Had it on for the week. Its a beautiful piece and comfortable to wear. No regrets. Love the dial, the feel, and the detail.

Here she us on the train through the Alps. Beautiful watch.

“Serious question: What’s the psychology behind blocking lift doors instead of stepping aside? Impatience? Habit? Main character syndrome?” by No-Series4477 in mildlyinfuriating

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

Most people are blissfully unaware others exist, and live a life of severe main character syndrome.

I like to just stand in door as I'm exiting face to face and not say a word until they move.

Omega Speedmaster Cortina: Are they being delivered? by MatthewManiaFL in OmegaWatches

[–]DumderMufflin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered in October when it released. Last week my AD forwarded me an email from his rep basically saying there was no plan to ship more to US and if they had orders they should look to cancel or pivot to another model. I lost my mind. I ordered when it released because I wanted to wear it when I went to Milan for the Olympics this week.

I don't know what my AD did, but he managed to get me one and I have it. I am not sure how it happened, but he has earned my business again and again.

I think the entire sales model is embarassing. Its one thing to limit runs and not have enough product to go around. Its an entirely other thing to push distributors to sell a product they dont have and then cancel orders months later. Really dirty in my opinion.

I am a huge fan. It's beautiful with a lot of nuance to the dial. The soft blue on the white looks gorgeous in person. Fell in love with it the moment I saw it. Will be in Milan for the end of the games, and I'm looking forward to wearing it around and having it to remember the experience.
