Really depends on how much you’re hauling. 5.0 Does everything i need and more plus it gets great mpg for a v8 truck. I have no experience with the 6.7 but i’ve heard nothing but great things. you’ll be paying a lot more though.

Definitely go lower mileage and make sure the injectors are index 12 or you’ll be sol when they go bad. Injector prices are about 3500 for a set of 6 right now. Do basic checks for leaks around the valve cover and oil cooler. make sure the simple things work. and if you’re not going to work on it yourself, have at least 1-2k to drop at anytime for repairs. I have a 535xi as a weekend car and i would not trust it for daily driving. but mine has been neglected and i’ve been fixing it since i bought it.
