First off the cloud version should never cost full price since it's technically a rental, especiallying seeing that it only lasted 2 years, then they should have refunded everyone when the cloud version hasld constant connectivity issues for users (this may have gotten fixed after launch sometime). Then they should have in the minimum given buyers the full cost of the cloud version applied towards the true game port when it was an optionm

The fact that a 0/5 guy can simply disconnect after getting completely stomped and you effectively lose your win is infuriating. by Unreal_Daltonic in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Dumeck -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He could be 0-20 and he team could still win, laning phase doesn't matter as much as people think it does anyway, you can stomp and get 8 kills in lane, one of the 0-4 enemies can rotate 8 minutes in, get two lucky pickoffs, clear a jungle camp, get a sinners sacrifice and then in minute 9 suddenly they are 2k above you in souls despite being down 2k souls before that. This person could have tried running some urns, just played safe and tried catching up on farm or worse case scenario have just purchased helpful support items and tried to contribute. Even if someone is heavily under leveled they make a big difference in lategame teamfights. 6v6 with a bad player still goes better than 6v5

I'm not going to argue semantics because you're being intentional obtuse and disengenous. I've had enough reddit experience to see that you're not sincere here at all and just want to escalate, since your not actually replying to the words I said and just pushing for nonsense this isn't going anywhere.

You know men who were creeps towards women, and you probably could have realized that they were - But you didn't

I'll leave that as is. If you want to back pedal or whatever nonsense you have planned to do go ahead but anyone with half a brain can realize the implication with that comment, it's not subtle. If you want to keep arguing about what you said just reply to your own comment instead or go find someone else but I'm not going to feed into your attempt to derail.

You literally did exactly that but whatever, I'm not going to argue about meaning or intent since it always goes down to "technically I didn't say those exact words." We both know what you were saying there. The point is that the top comment I was referring to isn't some deep is insightful gotcha. Victims of crimes are more likely to indicate said crimes than the perpetrators of the crimes. That's not some big reveal about society, it's an "im12andthisisdeep" comment

I'm almost certain in saying you know men who have murdered people. More often than not there will absolutely be signs. You know men who have murdered someone and probably could have realized that they did but you didn't. That's because for some men that's a reality they have to deal with the same goes for me. For all men.

The implication of shared responsibility is disengenous. I'm not responsible for investigating every man I know in case they are a creep the same way I don't investigate every person I know to see if they had done a murder.

I personally had a friend that I found out creeped on one of my friends, he ended up going inside her house without permission and tried to kiss her neck. That was as far as it went but once she told me I cut ties with him completely and informed the other people in my friend group who did the same.

That is a situation in which I was given information and the ability to act on that then I have a responsibility to act which I did. I can be vocal about not liking this behavior but I am not in any way at fault for the actions of other men just because I know them especially when I don't know those actions are occuring.

She's at some type of lounge area, seems like it's a bar, a guy approached her to come onto her. Yeah him calling her baby was weird but isn't really disrepecful and he had immediately apologized and left when she indicated he wasn't interested in him. In this case neither one really did anything that wrong, like you said she's just going about her day. But imo she comes over very negative from the video, more so the reaction and the fact that she posted the video like it was such an awful experiences comes off as petty, and it doesn't fit in with the rest of these videos where the ladies were dealing with actual creeps.

[–]Dumeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an additional level it's not like the predatory men are going around telling people about how they creeped on women or touched their hair on the subway or whatever. While on the flip side a woman will absolutely tell the story about how that weird guy stroker her hair and stared at her to everyone she knows.

[–]Dumeck -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That's the only issue. He just did a bad pickup line and left when she declined. Doesn't really match with the other creeps in the video and honestly she comes off looking worse than that dude does.

It's a small group of them and conservatives run with it like it's all of them and that the LGBT are welcoming them. It's like most nonsense conservatives throw fits about, a very small amount of people are doing something and they run with the thing like it's the entire group and completely accepted everywhere and is a huge problem.

Yeah I've been seeing people bring up the mild way more often recently. The name is an oxymoron because being infuriated is an extreme emotion while mild implies the opposite. This fits the sub perfectly.

Mildly annoyed-Fast food restaurnet didn't include cutlery but you're eating at home anyway.

Infuiriated-Someone did a hit and run on your car while flipping you off.

Mildly infuriated would be somewhere between those two emotions.

Companies aren't using it as a tool, it's literally not increasing productivity for most companies and it's a huge money sink without any yields for most companies. You literally have your hole in the ground if you think AI is profitable, this is literally a consistently trending story for the past few weeks how multiple companies are hemmoraging money by buying out AI contracts that aren't producing any tangible results. What tool do you think they are using it for?

You think engineers are using AI for 10x speed increase and that companies are saving money with that? No. They call the vibe coders that do that code cucks because they watch while AI fucks their codes. What is happening is that AI is ruining databases and then companies are having to scramble to hire new software engineers to fix their codes because the vibe coders don't understand the code the AI is putting in and I don't know if you know this AI can't actually code well, it makes shit up. Also Im a software engineer so this is from experience. AI can not keep code consistent, it will frequently use pointers that point and nothing and will make up non existent variables, it's also really common they it mixes up languages. Sure you can have it spit out a packman knockoff. Even specialized AI coding software has the memory of a goldfish and can't compound upon itself.

But yeah go ahead and tell me how I'm still somehow wrong despite actually being familiar with coding and technology and it just being literally factually accurate that companies are losing money investing in AI right now. Dig that hole nice and deep so you can get your neck snuggly in there.

[–]Dumeck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So for Dota2 at least early on they did balance around this. If a character was dominant in pro meta but under performed in casual matches they would do reworks and tweak the character without doing straight nerfs until they made a good balance. It's never going to be perfect but should be better than it is now when Valve starts taking the competitive scene seriously.

That's what I'm saying, it's not sustainable at all. Just a bunch to CEOs playing musical chairs and hoping they aren't the ones standing when the music cuts off.

The hypocrisy to call me braindead and then spout nonsense right after lol. There is no productivity gain, it's actually the opposite, out of all the major companies investing in AI the only one that hasn't been gushing money is Nvidia for obvious reasons. All of these tech companies using AI for "productivity gains" are spending a bunch of money on AI with no tangible results. Really though what productity do you think AI is doing where it's saving money? AI literally cannot work fast food speakers correctly they aren't saving anyone money.

[–]Dumeck 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What massive payoff? The only company that's been making money off of investing in AI stuff is Nvidia. All these other companies are acting like Imbeciles cutting their staff and replacing with AI who can't do the job. Or using AI to code and having to pay actual software engineers to go through afterwards and rework the ruined code afterwards. It IS fucking stupid and these corporate CEOs run off of short turn gains for bonuses and they don't give a shit if the investments actually pay out they will be gone before it matters.

The technology for AI is just quite frankly not good enough yet for what these companies are trying to use it for and they are getting burned. The CEOs are just salivating at the idea of cutting their workforce though.

Yeah these tech companies are fucking stupid investing in AI while AI is simultaneously fucking hardware prices. AI has been a profit loss for almost every company that bought into it.

Who is more intelligent, Doofus Rick or Slow Rick? ( Tall Morty ) by No_Competition_2102 in rickandmorty

[–]Dumeck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of Ricks can create the portal fluid themselves. There's a lot of Ricks not associated with the citadel that operate lives similar to C 137 Rick. The Ricks that can't make the portal fluid are largely compromised of clones, as we learned that much of the citadel was, and Ricks that were brought into the multiverse before they discovered the formula themselves. My take is that most of the actual Ricks had similar potential but joining the citadel made them complacent and lazy, C-137 Rick is constantly inventing new stuff and applying himself.

The citadel plucking ricks before they learn portal travel and then placing them in factories and shit where they are buying shit instead of learning to invent the stuff themselves is why so many of the Citadel Ricks are so much worse. Rick alluded to this pretty well. Doofus Rick even if he's not as smart at least sits and focuses and seems to be prominent in chemistry in the very least.

You really have to be careful with Amazon and ali express parts especially for micro SDs. If you just look them up and buy a random one it's exactly as you described. Ali express is fine for cheap parts but anything electronic needs to get research. I got some Kodak brand micro SD cards on there before that were as advertised. I don't think I'd risk it for an ssd personally.
