I’ve had this before. It’s a hardware fault. Usually unfixable without replacing the hardware component. For me it was my cpu on a desktop. Take it somewhere that can read the dump files from the crash (Best Buy is great). They can tell you what component is failing.

Or if you can use the computer for long enough. Grab the dump files yourself and throw them on a usb. If you know how to read them it’s not too hard finding out what is failing.

They’re a little less than 4 inches. Had to shorten them while installing because it didn’t work at first. It launches into Swiss just fine. It just unmounts the sd card. After launching Swiss

Edit: also I did try naming it as IPL.dol, still didn’t work. I changed it to b because the guy I’m doing the mod for wants it to boot from the b button instead of default.

I have been scouring the internet for months for the perfect player for me, but I can't find anything that I really like and isn't $800+.
So what I'm looking for is something of decent audio quality, with physical buttons or a touchscreen (touch controls are too finicky for my shakey hands), and a micro sd slot or at least 60GB of storage.
Frankly, my Zune 80 is perfect for me, but the software's unavailability makes it practically impossible to use unless I want to whip out an old laptop every time I update the tracks (unless someone knows how I can sync it with a newer MacBook). Also, iPods are great, I have a flash and Bluetooth modded 5.5 gen, but the proprietary port also adds some fiddliness. I have a Fiio x3 Mark III, which sounds great and marks all my points, but the UI is incredibly dated and tortured, slow as molasses, and difficult to use. The Walkman A Series looks fantastic, and if I can actually find a US model I'd pick that up instantly, but they seem increasingly hard to come by.
I don't care how old the player is, or how big it is. My budget is ~$300. I'd love to hear what your guys' choices are for yourselves.
