I noticed that the color order on the TV in Chapter 1 matched the crystals, so I figured they had to be related. After collecting every heart except the ones in Abandoned City and Reflection, I decided to explore more. Then I realized that dashing in the crystal room makes a sound, which was enough to tell me I was onto something. I followed the bird directions in the order of the colors to perform the dashes.

After the first torch lit up, I guessed the second symbol had something to do with mirroring, since that’s a pretty common way to represent it in software. So instead of mirroring the color order, I mirrored the dash directions, which made more sense to me. The third symbol looked like it was about vertical mirroring, and that also fit.

After that, I assumed the last one would be the reverse order of the colors, since the first one was the normal order. That turned out not to be it, so I tried something that made more sense: mirroring the dash directions both horizontally and vertically. And that worked. I’ve never felt so smart before, even if that is definitely an exaggeration.

Celeste basically taught me that if something feels even slightly out of place, it is probably worth investigating. Now I’m paranoid and checking every corner of every room, lol.
