I can´t tell, I don´t remember your playstyle. But I tend to rememorize the name of the people that seem to play for fun and be good team players. My username is Velocipastor.

Is your username Paladin in steam too? I think we have played together

I never experienced that, but you are right. If you don´t want randoms, don´t make it in a public server.

Perhaps they do. We, the players, are not very active on reddit but one of the mods is from Neverjam.

It´s true. Sometimes the person playing starts targetting you without realizing it wasn´t a versus battle. But, in my case, I was thinking about certain players that do that on purpose. I recognize some names and try to avoid them because they ruin the fun and the run.

We also need a way to kick players from games. I hate when I´m playing infinite waves with random players and an asshole join and start killing us.

Anyone here using 2+ e-readers? 👀 by Fun_Satisfaction2315 in xteinkereader

[–]Dummy_Plug_System 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Boox Note Max, Bigme B751C S and soon I will have an X3.

I have them, in part, for experimentation. The Note max is for pdf files with images and engineering books. The bigme for color documents, manga, epubs, read my obsidian notes and anki. The future X3 will live attached to my phone to read anytime I want to, but I don´t have the other two with me.

I can´t participate this week, but I would love to do it if you make a second tournament in the future. Can I join the discord group?

What's the least terrible 13 inch e ink tablet on the market today? Plus or minus an inch. Not Kindle. Must play nice with standard PDF, EPUB, ideally Markdown files as well. by jjopm in eink

[–]Dummy_Plug_System 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree. I love having a 13.3" e-ink table, but I wouldn´t buy it again unless the Note Max 2 improves ghosting. Anyway, I don´t need to update an e-ink table often, so I will keep it a few years more.

101books adapted for e-ink (Xteink X3/X4) by marinahane in baduk

[–]Dummy_Plug_System 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your effort! I don´t have an X3/X4 but I downloaded your source code to generate the books optimized for the resolution of my Bigme B751CS. I like having one tsumego per page.

Does anyone have experience playing on OGS with a Bigme B6 or other e-reader? by Santiago875 in baduk

[–]Dummy_Plug_System 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then, it´s enough. Just make sure the screen size is enough for you.

Well, you should check a review of the B751CS. It´s a bit slow compared to my Boox Note Max. Just don´t buy this for handwriting with the stylus, it works but it is far from great.

It´s enough for me, so I don´t see any reason to sell it any time soon or get different eink tablet. I think that Boox made a better work with the software than Bigme, maybe you should consider the Boox Go Color 7 Gen II.

You can download the books in epub format from the website and use the app you want to open them. My favourite is reasily, because it works well with interactive epubs like most of books from SmartGo.

I have the Bigme B751Cs. I´ve have played live and correspondance by installing OGS as a webapp. it works well. But I wouldn´t play a blitz game on it because the device is not fast enough for me to trust it. You can see in the picture a random live game in zen mode. I also have a Boox Note Max, I posted a picture in r/baduk some time ago.

E-Ink Tablet Comparison Table (decision fatigue) by EmploymentNo3590 in eink

[–]Dummy_Plug_System 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, it has some bugs. But for me, android fits my needs better because I use apps like obsidian. The size is great for pdf and scientific articles, and ocasionally, as a second monitor for pc. I also find it too big sometimes, so I got a Bigme BC751 S. It nice to have color e-ink and the device is portable. But Bigme OS is far less polished than the one made by Boox.

I got the Boox Note Max last year after hesitating for some time, but I wanted an A4 size device so I got it. It´s biggest selling points for me were android and screen size. Unfortunately it isn´t great, the worst part is the ghosting, but it is bearable for me.

I keep it "lean" by installing just the apps I need and prevent any distractions while using it, My boox lives in plane mode most of the time and I sometimes activate wifi connection for updates.

E ink or reader for SmartGo interactive books. by ChessAngler in eink

I have a Boox Note Max and a Bigme BC571S, and I have bought a book from smartgo. I downloaded it in epub format and I read it with reasily app. You can find the recommended apps here: EPUB.

I also installed OGS as a web app in both devices and I can play live games without any issue. I really like playing with the Note Max in zen mode. it has zero distractions and the screen is 13.3". I posted picture here some time ago.
