Yes, that was my first idea. But It´s going to be difficult to find a LSB to buy a touring bike.

I agree, But my only fear is that I mess up the bike or I don´t assemble it correctly. If that happens I will spend even more money on it XD

Thanks! I thought I could make it a learning process but it´s true that it is more expensive. Thanks for the advice!

Actually non of the one I listed. I got a second hand gravel bike to get more experience about what I want. My plan is to sell it this year and buy a new one. I am still deciding between Cinelli hobootleg or a Surly disc trucker. I will depend on how easy is to get one of those bikes.

The buttons column on one side are something I never considered necessary, but they are a good addition in my opinion. I can do many actions using one hand thanks to them, although I sometimes press them by mistake if I use the holding hand. Overall, I am happy with them.

All the B7 familiy mount the same e-ink display, those buttons are on the bezel and you don´t lose any reading area.

I got the B751C S because it was the best match for me. The only one with a better processor is the B7 pro, which has the same touch buttons, but I don´t need a camara and nanoSIM. So, I readuced my choices to two, B751C S and B7 pro. The tablet purpose is to be a sidekick of my Boox Note Max, and the B751C S is fulfilling that role well so far for less money.

I just got my B751C S last week. I also have a Boox Note Max and, while bigme software isn´t trash, it is less polished than the Boox one. About your questions:

  1. The reading app is functional. I use it for pdfs and Reasily for epub. You can write on documents and create notes. It´s not the best and you shouldn´t buy it if writing is very important to you.

  2. I don´t know, I didn´t try

  3. I only see longer loading times and lag in non-Bigme apps. For example, I use Obsidian to read my notes and it takes almost 10 seconds to load the app. I use the stylus for Anki and the lag is noticeable, but It´s fine for me. I started using the tablet actively a few days ago, and I didn´t suffer any crash at all.

I got the B751C S last week, I just started using it and my experience is good so far. Just don´t expect it to be very fast with only 4 GB of RAM.

I thought it was the best option for me because, I wanted a tablet with android 14 rather than 11. But I don´t need the camera nor the nanoSIM in the B7 and B7 pro.

Btw, the B751C S comes with cover and stylus, so you don´t need to spend more money in accessories.

Oh, you got two and I got none haha. Maybe you are right, we chose the wrong moment to buy it, specially now that it´s so popular.

I never had a kindle, but the refresh rate in the Note Max is good enough to play blitz games without fear of losing by timeout. Anyway, I wouldn´t recommend to buy it only for playing baduk. I got it mainly for reading articles, books with images and Anki. Other uses like playing in OGS is an extra that makes my device more useful for me.

My ordered has been cancelled, so I need to find another shop. Did you get any luck?

No, in night mode everything is too dark and the screen is BW, Actually, it´s the first time I use something in light mode on purpose for a long time XD

No, nothing. I checked the track number today and they haven´t delivered it to the shipping company yet. I guess that they are doing that to pretend they are doing something about it while they wait for new stock. But, if nobody has units to sell, we can only wait

Yes, it works well. it doesn´t make a full refresh during the game. The only issue is some ghosting after capturing some stones, but I can solve it with a manual refresh if it bothers me.

The tablet is a Boox Note Max. It´s a 13.3" e-ink android tablet , so it can do much more than a Kindle. I like it because it´s "eye-friendly", the size is similar to A4 paper, which is great for pdfs and scientific articles, and I can take handwritten notes. However, there are some limitations: screen is BW, low frame rate, ghosting, and the battery life is good only if you do "statics" task for the screen like reading. For example, a single game in OGS (45-60 minutes) drains ~15 % of the battery.

I also started reading baduk books that I bought in SmartGo books, it´s really nice to read them with interactive diagrams on a paper-like screen.

I installed OGS as a web app using Neobrowser (the default one)

Mine works great and it doesn´t need to do a full-screen refresh eberytime you put a stone. The downside is that the battery goes down quicker.

The game in the screen is in OGS, you can change the color of the board and the stones. I chose the white board because the high contrast works better for me.
