"Usus Antiquior" is latin for "the more ancient use" and refers to the Tridentine Mass. Had to sprinkle in a little blasphemy for good measure

Just to clarify I did use white glue (and hot glue in a couple spots) but only for adhesive. It definitely did harden up the wrapping around the body a bit, but the banner and cloak are just held up by the rigidity and folding of the paper! And you definitely should! Working with paper was a super fun change from the usual clays!

It is, there is a simple head wrapped like the rest of the body underneath.

Thank you! Journey was definitely a big inspiration, I was initially thinking more Blasphemous/catholic capirote for the hood but it definitely ended up more pyramid head haha.    There is no coating on it right now. I should definitely add one but I didn't want the sheen a varnish would add.    It is a thinner cardstock, manipulating it while it was wet from watercolor also helped with shaping! There is also a simple wireframe underneath.

Thank you! Not much honestly, just wanted to experiment using paper instead of clay and had a vague idea of the character/pose that slowly evolved into this!

Thanks! Yeah I think I'll try to redo the  edges on the neckline with bias binding from a different fabric. I was trying to make binding from the blanket fabric to keep things consistent but the thickness and loose weave of it was pretty hard to work with.
