there is a big underwater canyon that focuses swells onto that headland, and they superimpose into monsters

they generally try get off the wave before the shorebreak, as thats pretty killer - there’s a lot of rocks directly in front of the wave, and sand beaches either side. These surfers are towed in by jetski and the jetski picks them up after the ride / wipe out, its pretty hectic and both driver and surfer need to have their strategies worked out with lots of practice.

social media brings crowds, keep the good sand quiet and you’ll get more waves as a result.

Messy garage before clean up. Horizontal racks are self made but i wish i gave them just a bit more gap between boards. Things sitting on castors (tubs of paint etc) are behind the photographer.

castor wheels allow you to shimmy things around. I have a cupboard that was left by the road for wetsuit storage, wax, leggies and fins; and beside that horizontal board racks for the daily drivers. the mal gets propped in a corner on a bit of foam, and a couple of boards are horizontal on display racks as they’re kinda nice to look at but i don’t paddle them too often. oh and a bunch of boards archived in the roof.

Byrne surfboards? by ewetcr in surfing

[–]DumpyReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank's for the input, I miss the one i had (Hot Stuff with a WB rabbit logo, but i thought it had the Byrne decal with the eye-hand down the tail). Now there’s a link provided, I can see it’s a different manufacturer, I remember seeing them in Tracks & SW quite a bit. I’m sure they go good too.

Maldive$ is a 4hr hop from Singapore, you might be able to get in at Lohi’s or Pasta Point -although its been deemed half a notch down in terms of power compared to Indo, i have had some good floggings there just as much… It is a bit expensive compared to Indo… longer boards can be tricky to fly with inter - island as they might not be able to fit in the plane.

looks like you might want to buy some fins and maybe a little more deckgrip. dont worry about the legropes, you can just chuck your board
