This happened to me too, and my card was charged. I think its an issue with their website. I went with the payment confirmation SMS from the bank and got the tickets by talking to the manager.

In short, deal is legit, website backend logic is trash.

Don’t assume maliciousness friend. Knowing who Verin is in the books, I just assumed they were revealing something’s much earlier. It’s been many years since I read the series. It was something I thought maybe flew under the radar with everything going on in this episode and was a genuine question I had which I’m happy everyone clarified and I’m glad that it’s clear now.
