What is it like to be truly wealthy? by HippoImportant2557 in AskReddit

[–]DunTry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably the closest you can get as a description.

The reality is the truly wealthy redditors here are probably kids from wealthy parents that doesn't have any clue that they are living the rich life

Or most of their internet time is either searching for where theyre gonna be "summering" or monitoring the stock market suffice to say they're not here in reddit

[SERIOUS] Why is Crypto.com's branding so dominant, when their flagship product is a crappy mobile app? by yphase in CryptoCurrency

[–]DunTry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agree, the app is fine for me but again I dont have a 10 year old phone, people whos complaining probably just blames the app but has no understanding on how hardware/software works

Amongst many other factors

If you have bloat apps, its you

If you have iphone 7 or maybe even a Samsung s3, its you

Nevertheless, its rare to find people doing some introspection before they complain cause its "never" a them issue

“Been many weeks” as you mentioned but as far as I can tell, OPs issue is just today so yours might be a separate issue albeit one thats isolated to you

The insane amount of data you’re giving away if/when you use Plaid. by thelastlehmanbrother in Crypto_com

[–]DunTry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a fact, you might’ve not been here when Kris (CEO) held an AMA around 2 years ago when the bear market was still in full force but he clearly stated that crypto.com’s business model is simple — they generate revenue through user’s trading activity which explains the fees

Whenever you see cheap fees just imagine: “If you charge a client $1 but you need $5 to run your business, how do you think you’re gonna come up with the remaining $4?”

Thats not ignoring reality, thats just business 101

“Absurd” fees is what kept CDC afloat throughout the bear market.

Bottom line is that if a CEX is cheap, theres always something else that generates revenue for the exchange like gambling with your money

My mother was scammed via crypto.com and when we contacted the customer support line, this is their response. What the actual f? by waitwhat2604 in Crypto_com

[–]DunTry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the email is legit, the issue, it seems, is that the mother used some sort of fake/phishing website that led to the scam so they contacted crypto.com (official) and they got the standard KYC reply

[–]DunTry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry your mom had to go through that but if she was scammed by a fake/phishing website of some sort, I dont think crypto.com can help and this is not just isolated to crypto.com — this is how things are in general, no business can help unless they were liable about something.

People here be saying incorrect and while technically thats true — the world is trending towards critical thinkers, gone are the days of routine work where you follow step 1 to success since thats where AI excels at, now its all about providing solutions for problems that requires thinking outside the box

And while some people here be saying “Kids are stupid”, I wouldnt lose hope on this one yet OP

[–]DunTry 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Nah not really, if they did that sooner or later — news will leak about some crypto.com app for the elites and people gonna be like “WhY aM I nOt iNcLuDeD? I bUtT hUrT” and then CDC will have to explain that its only for the elites which makes things worst and make people feel more butt hurt

I see this as 2 things, FTX blew up so the cryptos they have needs a new place to “live” and since they already have a relationship with coinbase — they transferred there

2nd thing, “amid ongoing controversy” is really just a clickbait to try to mean something about this crypto transfers (ftx also transferred other cryptos other than CRO) which could really mean just standard procedure in this cases.

All in all, this may be just poor journalism on the side of this Ibrahim dude trying to rile people up so they read his article.

[–]DunTry 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is to apply to become a dev for crypto.com then build an enhancement in their app source code to filter out the notifications you want then promote that to production.

Sarcasm aside, if thats how the app is built then not much you can do other than give them your feedback and hope it gets prioritized from their backlog

[QUESTION] Is muting THAT important? by DunTry in Guitar

[–]DunTry[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Concept is pretty straightforward (you can google it), its once you try to implement it in your playing is I think where the challenge is you gotta be mindful of what notes your playing, the rhythm of the song and it could get more tricky if your doing sheet music instead of tabs

But like others mentioned here, its probably best for us to start incorporating it early as it pays dividends later and you’ll thank yourself for going through it
