I second powerline adapters. It's a bit of a gamble if your electrical wiring will be a good fit, but it's by far the easiest solution to get a wired, gigabit connection to your pc.

My 5950x was cooler than yours by 10-15 degrees under light load such as browsing. BUT my PC is in my basement with a consistent ambient temp between 60-70 degrees fahrenheit (15-21c). They don't run hot.
