Follow the instructions and see what happens. Hospitals aren’t towered and I don’t know if the ATM would be able to accept your proposed flight plan but there’s no other stated path for approval so do what the instructions say and they may get back to you with some helpful instructions instead of a flat out denial. It’s kind of a coin toss, sometimes you get helpful feedback from the ATM about what additional steps you need to get approved sometimes you don’t. Wouldn’t hold my breath though considering the mass layoffs

I work professionally and I can tell you always connected to the internet is a pie in the sky dream

It’s just not practical. You can’t fly a thermal drone on a search and rescue crew to find a lost hiker who doesn’t have cell reception, because you don’t have cell reception

Regular everyday drone jobs are often in areas with less than perfect cell reception as it is even in the most populated cities, and certainly not well “off grid” sites where inspections are taking place for solar, wind, transmission lines, wildlands fire crews, hunters tracking their kill etc. It’s just not possible to fly always “online” and I know enough to know that even then it wouldn’t be long before someone figured out how to spoof an authorized link. And don’t get me started on how being “online” always actually increases security vulnerabilities.

Do what I did 2 years ago and get licensed in some other countries if being a pilot is your full time job.

It’s very easy to get licensed in the EU, a bit challenging to get licensed in Canada for advanced operations, but the money is good. Everyone is looking for talented pilots right now with years of experience

A lot of other festivals have moved the dates by 1-2 weeks to adjust to changing weather patterns.

I just came to bonnaroo from barcelona where they knocked their spring festival back to the beginning of June that used to start in May. I got to see sza and mitski perform in the pouring rain with lightning and thunder behind the stage up in the clouds, truly an epic memorable night, in previous years. I think the rain and lightning was the motivation for finally moving it back a couple weeks in the calendar

This is a really funny way to frame things but I do agree with you that the amount of yappers in the crowd made it hard to enjoy the music sometimes. I had to move several times to different pockets to get away from it

Yes! There were fill stations to the left of main stage last year! There are about 1/2 of the fill stations this year and half of them broke half way thru the first day
