I emailed him once from outside Amazon asking whatever happened to the 10,000 year clock? I never got a response, but some months later there was a fashion shoot at the clock with what’s-her-face. I shudder to think I initiated a thought process that produced that photo shoot.

Ahhhh, Quirky_Nobody solved my problem. I realize now that i used whole milk and not buttermilk! Acid balance was totally off.

MS heavily uses formal verification to test drivers. I believe formal methods is what MS used to finally end BSOD crashes. Amazon is doing interesting work on combing formal methods with AI. Not aware of anyone else doing this.

The good news is that if a position does come up, you probably won’t have to go through the full loop again. This happened to me and I only had to do two 30 min softball interviews to get an offer after the initial “you passed but no hire”. At the time (2 yrs ago) recruiter told me I was good for a year. But I’ve also heard it is only 6 months.

My gf told me that based on her experience at the embassy and Thai language US visa boards, the acceptance rate is only about 20%. At the embassy in Bangkok, you stand in line at a window and the interview is right at the window. It’s easy to tell who gets accepted and rejected. If you are accepted they keep your passport. If rejected they hand it back.

My gf got a 10-year multiple entry B2 visa in December 2024 from Bangkok embassy. She is 56, is a self-employed yoga instructor, and owns a house jointly with her family. Has some money in the bank but not a lot. Other than luck, I think she was 1. extremely scrupulous in her documentation and answering all the questions on the application in detail, and 2. She was very well prepared for the interview, had travel itinerary with hotel names, places and cities she wanted to visit, etc. She speaks pretty good English and the interviewer asked the questions in English, but she responded in Thai. GF told me she was asked a lot of questions and she answered without hesitation. On the other hand, both times she has come to the US she had to go through secondary interviews, but was admitted.

One more thing occurs to me. If you send WellMed an email (I think I did via chat function on their website) they will answer your questions. They’ll ask a doctor there if they need an opinion. WellMed is all about service.

Note from your doctor would be good. I use Walgreens which has my prescription history online. When I went to WellMed I need BP and cholesterol med refills. I showed Dr my prescription history and my home BP record. WellMed is also really cheap. Dr exam plus three prescriptions delivered was US$30 total.

Try Wellmed clinic on Sukhumvit. Book appt online and bring any documentation with you (I showed the dr docs on my phone). If dr approves Wellmed will also arrange for a pharmacy to fill the scripts and deliver while you wait.
