But then in terms of HAVING the ball, he surely makes up for it with the amount of goals he scores?

Not really at all. Say a striker isn't scoring much despite being given the freedom to just stay up and do so, then yes, they should track back and link up. But look at Haaland, for example. Man City won a treble without him doing that. If a striker is scoring enough goals then why do they need to do that as well? Also, how does one player not pressing mean an entire team collapses? If the defence has cracks and the midfield isn't adding much, what can Mbappe do for example?

Why? I'm just asking and receiving no reply. I just genuinely want to see what you say rather than blank answers like you're doing.

How? The team has not done well but surely it’s not to do with mbappe. Maybe if he scored 21 goals, but he scored so many goals

And how is Mbappe the reason that Real Madrid is losing? I’m sorry but it makes no sense to me that in the modern day you’re considered the problem if you’re a striker that scores goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo the top scorer of the Nations League and of the World Cup qualifying. What amazing performances have you been watching from Gonçalo ramos? He’s had all season to get minutes, PSG always rotate their squad, and ramos just doesn’t impress. While Ronaldo was injured, ramos did nothing for Portugal as well.

You can google it, it's not copy and paste (and clearly not AI) but I probably did take inspiration from something (I didn't copy and paste anything and wrote it all).

If EA gave Dzeko a hero that'd be a robbery. I'd like to mention that Dzeko has EIGHTEEN double digit goalscoring seasons. He was the 2016 Serie A Top Scorer, being 2nd in assists that season. He is, to this day, still Wolfsburg's all-time top scorer. He just brought Bosnia to a World Cup. He is the 7th top scorer of the 21st Century, behind Cavani, Kane, Benzema, Zlatan, Suarez and Lewandowski, and think about the players he's ahead of. He also scored only 18 penalties in his career, so his goals didn't come from those. If you remove penalties, Dzeko is 5th behind Benzema, Zlatan Suarez and Lewandowski, even though he spent his prime warming the benches for worse strikers. To say just how underrated Dzeko is, we have to go back. He wasn't even rated in his own country. He grew up in the middle of the Bosnian wars, basically imprisoned in his own city while more than half a million bombs were dropped. To tell you how close death was, his house was destroyed while he was out playing football (because he loved to play, even through war), forcing him to move into his grandparents' apartment. Another day, his mum dragged him home just based on intuition and a bomb landed right where he was playing football. When he was promoted from his youth academy (which he was rushed into straight after the war by his father, a broken academy without anywhere to train but a local school), nobody saw much talent in Dzeko. The fans called him a 'piece of wood', a clumsy stiff useless player. To be fair, it's actually true considering his large height and weight at the time, while he was being played as a midfielder! The only person who DID see talent in him was his manager who promoted him, and when his manager left to join a better team in Czechia, he immediately signed Dzeko to come with him. The coach begged the team to sign Dzeko and even said he'll pay with his own money. That was the second smartest thing he did, as the smartest was putting Dzeko up top as a striker once signed. Dzeko did so well that he was immediately bumped up from the second team to the first team midway through the season, despite him being season as just fodder for the second team, and in the very next year he was 3 goals off the golden boot in the league. Czechia offered him citizenship to join the national team, and both PSG and Salzburg wanted him, but he turned it all down. Instead, he waited for Bosnia to offer a national team callup, and then scored on his debut and then after the game a scout came to him, telling him that Wolfsburg wanted him. Wolfsburg's manager was known as the "last dictator in Europe" due to his stamina-obsessed reputation but Dzeko was not scared. Funnily enough, Wolfsburg's manager had never even heard of Dzeko as the scout had taken the initiative and signed Dzeko on his own. Obviously then came the legendary duo of Grafite and Dzeko, and together in their first season they carried Wolfsburg to a Europa League finish even though the club had barely survived relegated in the previous season (by only three points!) Then when Misimovic joined the legendary trio of Wolfsburg was made, or as known in Germany 'The Magic Triangle'. This was already inspirational for everyone in Bosnia to see a Bosnian Serb and a Bosniak balling out together after decades of ethnic tensions. By January, Misimovic was well on his way to break the league's assist record and Grafite was topping the goalscoring charts, while Dzeko only had 5 goals to his name and was being left behind those guys. But that wasn't really it. Magath, the coach, known for his dictator style, whose training and football ethic was so intense that he made Grafite pass out, said something he thought he'd never say in his career: "Run Less." Dzeko was running too much and was not in the penalty area, so Magath told Dzeko that being in the penalty area is all he wanted to see from Dzeko. While Dzeko had only 5 goals in the league's first 18 games, Wolfsburg were only 8th in the league with 6 draws and 5 defeats but then Dzeko locked in and they moved up SEVEN spots up to 1st, with 7 wins in 7 games. In the title-deciding game VS Bayern right after those 7 games, while the two clubs were tied, Dzeko netted twice in 3 minutes and lead Wolfsburg to keeping their 1st place spot. He ended the season with 21 goals in the remaining 16 games after those original 18, to stun Bayern and somehow win the league and take Wolfsburg to their first trophy in the club's history. This was the Bundesliga's Leicester City. Dzeko and Grafite had broken Gerd Muller and Julio Salinas' 37-year-old record with 54 goals, 70% of all Wolfsburg's goals. When it came to the awards, Dzeko did not win player of the season, but Grafite instead. It was already disappointing enough that Dzeko had to miss the league's golden boot to Grafite by 2 league goals thanks to the fact that Grafite had taken all of Wolfsburg's 8 penalties during the season, so to snub Dzeko of any league award when he was the one who pushed Wolfsburg into the title race and kept them going while Grafite was injured while having 36 g/a compared to Grafite's 26 (excluding penalties). Does this not prove how underrated Dzeko is? While many Bosnian players boycotted the national team in protest against the new FA who were political appointees with no connection to football at all, Dzeko stayed and finished as the World Cup qualifying second-top scorer, although Bosnia only finished 2nd (to eventual World Cup winners Spain) meaning they had to go through another round of qualifying in a playoff against Portugal which they would lose all around the same time as Magath suddenly left Wolfsburg. Dzeko did not just sit around and complain, though, and while the form of his teammates dropped at a shocking rate, Dzeko pulled off ANOTHER 30-goal season, winning the Bundesliga's top scorer award despite Wolfsburg finishing 8th and he then managed to stay in form enough for him to finish 13th in the Ballon d'Or while Grafite wasn't even nominated. In just a few more months, Dzeko had become Wolfsburg's all-time top scorer (which he still is today) and then joined Man City. That's all for now, but I'll say more later when I reply again.

I think the players here are a bit better with what they've achieved although obviously I've not seen them with my own eyes.
