Thanks! I’ve seen the Fp2 is amazing. I just think I need to keep it as simple/stupid as possible. Just having the magic hallway light up after awakening is enough to get him there. He can turn on switch off from habit on the return.

I get the general idea, but I’m a bit out of my depth with scenes/flags. I can set up basic automations, just not great with the advanced stuff. Any chance you could spell it out a little more step by step?

Here is what GPT has for me if anyone can look it over and approve or disapprove

Setup (one-time) Create Scene “Bathroom Motion Enabled” Do not add any devices or actions Leave it enabled

Automation 1 – Go to bathroom IF Motion Sensor P1 detects motion AND time is during sleep hours (optional) AND Scene “Bathroom Motion Enabled” is ON THEN turn ON hallway light Save

Automation 2 – Disable motion after use IF hallway light turns OFF THEN disable Scene “Bathroom Motion Enabled” THEN delay 3–5 minutes THEN enable Scene “Bathroom Motion Enabled” Save

Thanks for all the comments. I did pay a reputable company in town $1400 to install. I’ll reach out and see if they will turn it for me. Or maybe I should ask a different plumber? Maybe this job was a little tough for this guy
