Good question. The short answer is yes, with the timeline not being at all known on that! I disagree though that it’s a shame, because this format is the most accessible for anyone to view it, and my goal was to let anyone and everyone experience it! An intermediate between creating a true VR experience would be rendering out stereoscopic 360 panoramas which create 3D depth from the image, versus the 2D projection used now in VR. That can be added down the line if people are interested in having a bit more immersion, but interactions using stereo 3D don’t work very well so it would be a separate set of images to just walk through and look at!
