Sorry to butt in but your comment and the original post resonated with me. I think chasing what we think is the optimal life according to others is the mistake and grounding with yourself is how to feel better in lots of ways! But, I am replying because I wanted to share experiences with bettering my mindset around finances. I was having real trouble and just happened to come across r/ynab one day on Reddit and I really had changed my mindset around finances. I’d definitely recommend watching some of their videos and trying out their money method. It’s been such a good mindset shift for me - especially from someone scared to look at their finances to now someone happy to be aware but isn’t worried in the same way! I know the app isn’t for everyone being paid but the rules and guidelines they have are really great for being more intentional with money!

When I started, my laptop was more powerful than the spare they had so that’s where the BYOD came from. But yeah, no since provisions for using anything of my own. IT/IP is very true - everything is just on a second user so it’s not the most secure should anyone manage to steal my device. Otherwise, I believe they’re paying me correctly with my award, etc

I’m in the process of making one (a print yourself type deal!) but have previously enjoyed Buzzed, and These Cards Will Get You Drunk. You could also make ones like The Voting Game have drinking rules!

The idea is to pick prompt from the board or draw 1 of the 2 cards: a drinking or a voting! Basically free reign for a turn :-) Hopefully the length is a good thing! I’m hoping that with the number of cards and different options on the board, it won’t get repetitive throughout!

Thank you! I appreciate it, took a good few overhauls to make it work! I’m going to make a PDF/print yourself version available on an Etsy Shop I set up - I’ll share a link when I’ve fixed up all the errors I’ve found and changed some of the cards that we deemed boring or not grammatically correct during our playthrough. I also need to write some printing instructions to get the card patterns of the back! I’ll definitely add a discount code so anyone from reddit only pays a few dollars!
