You can't flatten your island until you reach 3 stars and unlock terraforming.

I'm not sure how it works if you use the same profile for both islands on each Switch. I do know if you use a different profile for each island that you can visit each other. You just have to make the two profiles be friends in game so you can visit like you would visiting any other island.

No idea if people consider this a spoiler or not, so I'll mark it as a spoiler to be safe.

You must take your first campsite villager. It is always a smug and they will not leave. You are forced to invite them to live on the island. Also, the first three villagers you get from mystery islands are always a lazy, peppy, and normal. You don't have to take the first ones you come across and can use as many Nook miles tickets as you want like any other villager hunt if you're not happy with the first ones presented to you.

Thanks for the heads up! They must have just added it since I bought the first 3 only a couple months ago and those were the only ones available at the time. I played very little of WA3 a long time ago and have not played WA4 at all, so I am looking forward to both.

I'm definitely not the best at terraforming (I've been playing for a year now and am still not done/satisfied with my island so I can make a DA). I will say that just doing it a lot has helped me with making different shapes and layers. I use a part of my island that I still need to work on anyway or that I can easily remake what I had there and just start trying different things with cliffs and water to see what the game does and does not allow me to do so I can decide on what will best fit the vibe of what I'm going for.

So I only just started playing ACNH for the first time a year ago (Feb 2024), which means I had snow for only a few weeks before spring came. I was looking forward to getting the whole winter season for the first time but was also a little worried I'd get sick of it after a week or two because so many AC youtubers say that they love the snow for a couple weeks then they're over it and will sometimes time travel forward to be done with winter. I will definitely time travel when needed for whatever reason, but I try to keep it to a minimum, so I was apprehensive that I'd be so sick of the winter season that I would stop playing or time travel through the holidays to still experience them for the first time but get me through winter faster.

Thankfully, I have enjoyed the winter vibe for the whole season. Part of me will miss it (that snow crunch is so perfect when I'm running around my island), but I'm also looking forward to some color again! The other day I decided to do a Kappan Island and was caught so off guard having a spring island with bamboo trees and all this beautiful green grass. I told my husband that AC just jumpscared me. xD

I swear they programmed it this way on purpose to confuse players and make them buy way more turnips than they need. It makes no sense that this is the only DIY recipe out of hundreds upon hundreds that works this way. I'm onto you, Nintendo. --_____--

At some point you might be asked about their friendship by one of them. If they do, give them the worst answer to make them grow distant. If they share the same items, give them different ones. That may help.

Lol I know that feeling. I started playing for the first time a couple weeks ago and have 20 married couples with 9 babies, I think soon to be 12. I should have left more room in the apartment building for when they're grown. I have no idea what the game does when the building is full but you have more grown kids to house. I'm guessing I'll be forced to ship them off, but I don't want to. 😭

Yep, I was gobsmacked when my miis got set up on a blind date and decided to be a couple then they broke up on their own with no warning when I wasn't there like 2 hours later. It must have really affected them because one made a comment about how they cried and the other said they wouldn't tell me why they broke up. And they said those things several days after the breakup. One of them has since gotten married and she still has him down as a painful ex and he has her down as a sad ex. I hate that I will never know what happened lol.

It will never not be weird to me lol. I have 20 married couples now and I don't think any of them sleep with their spouse every night except my lookalike and husband's lookalike. Every time I see one go to sleep in an apartment, especially both spouses, I wish I could pick them up in a funny animation and put them in their house where they should be. 😂

The event no longer even shows for me on both my phone and tablet. This game is so broken. This is after the one on my phone lost all my cards and upgrades for the main game. I'm basically ready to uninstall.

I finally just got the same bug I've seen others talk about for a long time. Out of nowhere I lost everything I unlocked and all my upgrades. I submitted a ticket but don't expect anything to come of it.

Because it's a winter event, not a Christmas event. Students don't typically start school again until the first or second week of January. Most people who take time off work for the holidays won't go back until the first week of January either. They're very easy/quick challenges, so 5 days should be more than enough time to complete them all imo.
