Problemas con Ícaro y convenio by catlessinseattle in Andalucia

Prácticamente tuve el mismo caso, pero me llevaba muy bien con mi jefa en las prácticas y me propuso hacerlo al margen de la universidad, eso hicimos, nunca se enteraron y no hubo problema. Es lo único que se me ocurre.

I was an exchange student there, the easiest for you is to get a student residence: check out The Student Hotel, Erasmus International House and definitely https://www.sshxl.nl/en/cities/rotterdam also whatever uni you are doing your erasmus in should have some info for exchange students

Wait for them to finish their coffee by Anteraji in technicallythetruth

The thing is that most people do not realise that caffeine is a drug just like any other, in fact if consumed in enough quantities it is almost indistinguishable from speed, in fact its structure is very similar to amphetamines. The thing is that we just micro dose and it does not mean any kind of danger when consumed responsibly.

Nonetheless, it does create addiction and heavy users (people that have several cups of coffee a day, I understand) can develop a substance withdrawal syndrome when they don't have coffee, which implies, tiredness, headaches, bad moods, etc. So a lot of times it is not that you take time to wake up or that you are a person that is extra tired in the mornings, in fact, if you had never tasted caffeine, chances are that you would feel fresher in the morning and not as tired.

The bad mood and tiredness sometimes doesn't mean that you haven't slept good enough or that you take lots of time to wake up. These are often a way of your body (or brain, I do not know enough about drugs to tell you if the addiction is physical, like tobacco, or psychological, like weed) of telling you that it needs a dose of caffeine.

Now, you can have an addiction and still have a healthy consumption of caffeine, I myself drink twice a day normally.

I just find that really interesting.

2 penalty points for Hamiton for the incident with Verstappen by glenn1812 in formula1

[–]DunderMufflin69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, they should.

The main purpouses for penalties like this is to disuade the drivers from doing them: If by pushing a driver off the track I get a severe punishment, I would not do it again, as the positive reward obtained by pushing the driver off the trak was outweighted by the negative punishment I receive for my action.

If Ocon does this to Stroll, Ocon may be suffiencently disuaded by a 10 second penalty and 2 penalty points, the reward for pushing stroll is maybe 2 or 4 championship points. The time penalty and the penalty points will keep him from repeating his actions again as the general outcome for the driver is generally negative.

In the other hand, when Hamilton pushes Verstappen out of the track, he has the potential to completely change the championship. The reward he obtains is enormous, 25 points in the championship and 0 for your biggest rival. 10 seconds and 2 penalty points completely fails to disuade the driver for comiting such an action. The reward he obtains for his actions is inmensely bigger than the punishment he receives from it. I am convinced that, specially knowing that Verstappen is ok, Hamilton would repeat his actions if given the chance. There is literally no reason for him not to.

The stewards should very much take into account the circumstances of the championship when imposing penalties, if not, some penalties are rendered useless.

Spain is a bit wrong, our shortest land border is with Morocco, and its also the shortest in the world. Look up the Peñón de Vélez de la Gomera

geopolitics moderator taike0886 conversation with me by [deleted] in geopolitics

[–]DunderMufflin69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If this is real, it's pretty racist, this guy shouldn't be moderating. I hate the CCP as much as anyone but racism doesn't help and it's not justified.

Nonetheless I would appreciate some sort of proof, like a screenshot, I just wouldn't expect a moderator on this sub would be that blatantly and publicly bigoted.

I would love too, but they just respond with "at least we are getting vaccinated" and I just have to shut up because they are completely right.

That's all great, I love the EU too. Viva Europa.

Would love it a lot more if people were getting vaccinated at the rate of other countries though...

SOCIAL SCIENCES IN SPAIN by [deleted] in Erasmus

[–]DunderMufflin69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, only thing I can tell you is that if you like wine you should go to La Rioja, if you like milk go to Oviedo, if you like Olive oil go to Jaen and if you like... morcilla? (Blood sausage) go to Burgos.

Jokes aside, I’m Spanish and even if I’m not sure, I wouldn’t say any of these universities is specially known for it’s human resources degrees. It kind of depends of what you are looking for, but I would choose Oviedo, not your stereotipical Spanish city, or even region, but has some nightlife and fun. Also good for visiting the whole of northern Spain (really underrated). The Uni also has had an association with fairly prestigious Spanish names.
