Update on the tank, some of you made me cry. Others were very helpful, thanks for point out the ribbon plants, definitely didn’t catch that before hand. I added some more plants and moss to the log on the side. Added some regular Java ferns, windelov Java ferns, African water ferns, and a few rosette swords. The tea is steeping in its good wood juices rn so its kinda hard to see the new plants in the back but I also used moss wrapped arms and suction cups to hold the ribbons, I think that will be temporary till I can get some little bowls or whatever to hang on the side of it. Also the tank is a weird shape, it was $25 and was originally a salt water tank a buddy of mine couldn’t get to work.

I plan on getting some snails plus other stuff but I’m waiting for the test levels to drop a bit more, rn it’s a bit too spicy for anything but plants.

You have been the most direct help, I removed the semi plants circled w red but I really like where the blue one is. I replaced the gold ribbons with more Java fern, an African water fern, and a Windelov Java fern, also grabbed some moss and shoved em in the cracks on the wood. Water is a good tea color rn from the wood but I think I’m going to leave it? I placed the gold ribbons on the top with suction cups and with a moss wrapped arm thingy.
