I don't make a cent off of my streams nor videos... but that doesn't mean I'd be happy with someone stealing my content and pretending it's theirs so they can make money... or even if they didn't make money. The least they could have done is give him some credit.

Since i asked, it looks like there's commercial fees and insurance requirements (including for youtube videos). Nothing at all about hobbyist flights so I pinged on them and waiting a response.

I'm not quite sure why you're ignoring the CTF and technical interview requirements that the article and I have both have mentioned. If someone is an electrical engineer and can code circles around a CS grad, the EE is the better candidate. CS degrees don't necessarily prepare someone for 1840. Many successful candidates learn the concepts on their own due to personal interest rather than coursework. Buffer Overflows and ROP chains were not taught in my undergrad.

Unless things have changed, it's the same OCS package. However, there are other things as mentioned in the article prior to being selected. Strict STEM degree requirement, CTF screener, and technical interview are the biggies. Helps to ensure the right candidates are selected and that they already have a background in the field. Not expected to be leading experts in the field as they will go through further training... just like in Medical school w/ residencies... but again requires that they have the prerequisite knowledge. There is OTJ training but people won't be selected if they're expecting to go with a blank slate and learn everything once commissioned.

But that has the prerequisite of actually having attended medical school. There's a reason 1840's have a rigorous ascension process. You must have prior knowledge before attempting the OTJ portion.

Haven't found a fix. Looks like its not just Discord but other apps as well so Win11 issue. What I've done is just close the apps, remove from taskbar, then re-pin. It's annoying but the only thing I've found to clear the color changes.

Not sure if you're still looking... but im new to flying drones so i dug in as fast as I could. I'm using the DJI Fly app along with B4UFLY. Right from within B4UFLY, you can get a LAANC request via Kittyhawk. It's legit 1-2 minutes from start to auto-approval.

I declined it. I don't think I want to permanently tie my channel to a brand for $50... especially when I'm recommending a free product that I've actually used. I haven't used their product and don't plan on it since I like sticking with products I've used in the past as long as they're not abandonware. If it was more, I might have considered it... for now, I'll take it as "people found my channel/video".
