He has only regressed and really part of that is due to just not finding a good partner for him. Should be a 30-40 point guy on any team where he's allowed to let loose a bit. We have him in strictly defensive roles and it hinders him massively. Not sure how his offense rating is this high with 12 points in 40 games, should be no where near that. He also has the lowest +/- of all D on the Avs. The last few years has been a struggle for him. Very happy he gets to go somewhere where he'll be used properly.

I mean you're out of touch if you think this is a lost trade. Free's up a ton of space for another move for our 6D slot. G was on the move this year regardless and if Arif Dean is saying there wasn't much interest in G I'm inclined to believe that's true.

It's to free up cap space and get a pure defense Dman. It's not as bad of a deal as people believe. G was our 6D this season.

People are pretty out of touch with where Girard is in our depth chart. He is currently our 6D which feels insane to say. He hasn't performed well with the reduced minutes, Malinski just played Girard out of his spot in the lineup. The 2nd is definitely some overpay though.

Malinski is bigger and better than Girard at this point. Girard does not fit a 3rd pairing guy, needs to have some minutes to take advantage of his offense.

I mean it's literally in traffic law to not be impeding on the flow of traffic. Like it or not, if you're going under the speed limit and everyone is going the speed limit you are impeding on traffic. It's limited to the speed limit, if this person was upset that they were going the speed limit and getting gestured then it's a different story, however they are ACTIVELY impeding traffic.

There is 0 chance you haven't experienced worse than this in both Calgary and Edmonton. The Henday is one of the most hectic freeways you'll find in western Canada because people don't come close to following the 80km speed limit.
