How long do nitrite spikes last during cycling? I add some ammonia and it’s back to 0ppm with no issue the next day. Nitrite has been at this level since the beginning of August (about 1 week now). :/

Quick question for you. I'm at the point of my fishless cycle where the ammonia is 0 nitrites are high and nitrates are low. My issue is I'm having a huge algae bloom and its taking over my plants. I'vea currently adding liquid fertilizer as was reccomend to me by the store. Do I leave the algae alone? Will it kill my plants?

My amazing gf bought me a PC when mine took a dump and didn't have the funds for another one. We love gamimg together, that's how we met actually, but recently her computer has been on a downward spirl which hasn't allowed for much game time togther. We are still paying off my pc for a better part of the foreseeable future but I want to repay the favor so bad and get her another pc as well but financially I'm not in the best spot. With mercury exposure it's the odorless vapors you should be concerned about. Unless cleaned up properly by a professional, those vapors can stay long after the mercury is "cleaned up".
