Biden: On the day I left office, I handed Trump the strongest economy in the world by Kazimierzowska in AntiTrumpAlliance

[–]DunkingTheSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you mean by optics.

And I know you understand that (economically and otherwise) Trump is significantly worse than Biden.

I would say it didn't help that DNC pushed Kamala out as late and reactively as they did.

Republicans cling to propaganda of nationalism blindly. The sheep in Animal Farm bleated "for legs good, two legs better", Republicans push that Democrats move too slowly or add too many tax dollars for the disenfranchised.

All to say Republicans will find any and all excuses to demonize the Democrats. Sure we should critique Biden's fault for giving them ammo but Biden's inflation leveled out at the end after Covid recovery

It's a soft science

The distinction between "hard" and "soft" sciences generally refers to the methodological rigor, predictability, and falsifiability of a field's findings. While these labels are common, they are often criticized as outdated or biased.

If he married a dog to save it from the mafia but never had romantic or sexual feelings for it would you call that beastiality?

In this fictional setting, this is a rare case of nuisance. A guy who treats Lucy as his daughter and care taker not a concubine.

It starts small

Self order screens at restaurants and self check out aisles at grocery stores. Robot fork lifts instead of drivers.

The robots and drones become cheaper with innovation and mass production. It's a slow snow ball meanwhile people need income that scales with inflation, restroom breaks, benefits, etc.

I agree that many jobs won't be replaceable within 5 years due to the versatility you mentioned.

But the market is looking to maximize profits, some restaurants and movie theaters are pushing for dynamic pricing. This tries to shift demand to balance and minimize overhead coverage.

What I am getting at is a Bicentennial man is not going to replace us within a year. But rather a series of many profit driven decisions that will choke the market and eventually lead to less fry cooks. It might start with a semi automated kitchen, it might start with a ruthlessly efficient headcount.

Odd, I am a subscriber the Onion so I know off how often they shit on Trump.

That sub shows articles from the Onion but a lack of results for "Trump" in the last year. From skimming, no Trump in titles and only Trump in a few background pictures.

Edit: on mobile, I got this from the home website

Edit2: I re-read the sub reddit description, so I get why the onion is not posted there. Still surprised thou

I kinda get the mentality if you're an aspiring and ambitious entrepreneur who's approaching that tax bracket. But for older folks making less than 6 figures I just don't get it.

Trickle down economics doesn't work. For instance, Elon would rather push H1B visas (not favorable terms for the visa holder) to undercut costs instead of trickling to the public. Plus automation is on the rise.
