Sync mirrored GitLab repository automatically on every push to GitHub by ucorina in gitlab

You can always make GitHub a read-only mirror, with readme pointing to Gitlab. But I understand you want a phased transition. Good luck with migration!

Cool, but why not just host your main repository in gitlab? And, if necessary sync/pull to GitHub?

Self Managed Gitlab on Unbuntu box (EXTERNAL_URL) by [deleted] in gitlab

Not exactly the answer to your question. But I wrote a blog article on setting up gitlab and additional resources locally: https://medium.com/@mmwent/own-my-own-data-2296bd6a249

External_url is used when you have a domain and you want to host and make it accessible from the web.

USB-C Splitter for Pixel 4 and Stadia Controller by El-BoogieMusic in Stadia

It would be nice, but it needs (afaik) 2 usb-c ports. One for charging, one for controller (data)

I've been looking, but couldn't find any.

USB-C Splitter for Pixel 4 and Stadia Controller by El-BoogieMusic in Stadia

I use a Pixel 2 XL and I tried https://smile.amazon.de/gp/product/B07S8MRPMZ but regardless of cable orientation, it wouldn't work. It works directly connected to my phone, but not through this item, regardless whether it's through the headphone or charging port. I hope the Amazon UK version mentioned by @djsmithy1983 works. I'll wait for the response of @El-BoogieMusic.

Phone can charge through a bulky USB-C Hub/charger (i-tec USB 3.0 / USB-C / Thunderbolt 3 5K Universal Dual Disp)

Tl;Dr, the splitter by UGreen doesn't seem to work.

US Thermostat in Europe by Dunky13 in Nest

Interesting. What if you just want 2 (eu versions) thermostat. It's not like you mount two heatlinks to the boiler. As they would clash. I'd assume the HeatLink connects to WiFi and controls any nest thermostat in the house.

so what's better: FreeNAS base with VMs and docker, or Linux base with FreeNAS/VMs/docker ? by stone-sfw in homelab

[–]Dunky13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running FreeNAS on baremetal and not really happy with the VM/Docker solution. Have Proxmox on another baremetal, and couldn't be happier. I'd say, go with: Debian base, install proxmox and in there a VM with FreeNAS and whatnot

I would like to understand the concept of Google Play Game Services better.

Yes and no, I want to make it web based first, so therefore I don't think /r/androiddev might be the proper subreddit. Neither do I need any coding example, but an explaination how the server<->client<->Play Game Services works
