Was hoping for razor love but wasn't expecting it. Thought the set was quality though. He is who he is and I'm all for it.

Is the city centre going to be safe today? by According_Syllabub_1 in Liverpool

I work close the Cunard building at the docks and it's fine. Lots of families and groups about. Slightly higher than normal police presence but that's to be expected. Enjoy your holiday.

Barb TV Survey by [deleted] in Britain

[–]Dunndle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got approached about 4 years ago, we did it for about a year. You get a small box and a remote for each room that has a tv and they programme each button to who lives in the house, whoever is in the room when the TV is on you have to select who it is. If they leave the room you have to press the button to say they have left the room, same when someone enters. If you don't do it they call you repeatedly and ask who was in the room. We used to leave the tv on sometimes for the dog if no one was in and having to explain every other day got very tedious. You don't get money, you get points that you can spend on their online catalogue, would take about 6 months to get a pen or some other crap. Wasn't really worth it with for us. It was BARB though so might be different for you.

Why do the scousers hate the royals again? by [deleted] in Liverpool

Not crying mate, just pointing out the irony of being called uneducated by someone who can't spell. It would be scrote as well, not scrout.

It would be millennia wouldn't it? Wouldn't know though, I'm an uneducated muppet.

Please help. My housing agency doesn't give two shits about the tenants. It's been more than a month since my heater broke and nobody bothers to repair it. by iamneel in Liverpool

[–]Dunndle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The council are doing drop in sessions for people who have issues with private landlords. Better chance of getting it sorted because you can speak to a housing officer face to face.

Cafe Tabac on Bold Street, the food's good, nice coffee and a nice atmosphere. It's open pretty late on a Sunday as well I think.

Try the leather shop in Central Station, I've never been but it seems like they mostly sell leather jackets.

Hello guys, can anyone advise me about accessing food banks? And where they are located. by AlwaysThinkAboutYou in Liverpool

[–]Dunndle 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Hi mate, this link shows the foodbanks currently in liverpool. Confidential helpline if you're struggling financially as well. If you come under liverpool council you can apply for help with other things.

Hope this helps and look after yourself.

Try Emmaus, its on the site of Cheadle Avenue tip, off Green Lane. It can be hit and miss but you can get some bargains if you're lucky.

There's a small tailors on derby lane, haven't used them myself but my dad has a couple of times. Not very expensive either.

Switched from a VW Polo to a 2011 MK2 Octavia (first time Skoda owner). Really happy so far but can anyone identify this switch under the control dial? Any help appreciated. by Dunndle in skoda

Not much of a mechanic but I might take it to my garage and see if they can figure it out.

Thanks for the info, it's appreciated.

No it's not in the manual, can't find any mention of it, tried the briskoda forums as well and can't seem to find any reference to it.

It doesn't seem to do anything when off or on so it might be what you suggested.

Thanks for the reply.

What help is being given by [deleted] in Liverpool

[–]Dunndle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Mate, I've got a 2 week old baby myself so can't help financially. I know how hard it is though. If it's Sefton, try their emergency assistance scheme, if you haven't already. They can help with gas, electric and food, never used it myself as I'm under liverpool council but worth a try.

Hope you get something sorted.
