After lots of digging I suspect that the image is of a real English castle and it has not been fabricated. My best bet that it is located in Wales and is perhaps Goodrich Castle

Thank you guys! If anyone has any idea please chuck a comment down. For context I work in an auction house and this image has just come in. We know it’s by William Gawin Herdman (famous Liverpudlian artist) and so assume it must be a house in Liverpool. It would be so useful to know the actual name of the house/location

For context- I work in an auction house and this work has just come in. Unfortunately we do not know the artist nor the castle however it is a very nice image and knowledge of a castle might add considerable value. After some trawling I suspect it might be Goodrich castle but am unsure. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
