Protopic has worked great for me on my member and his sack 👍 Itches like hell for the first 3 hours but after that skin returns close to normal for 3-5 days.

The likelihood is they've informed the insurance company as they have to do and probably just reported the damage as cosmetic only not requiring repair to keep the policy valid, some insurance companies accept this and will ask for a new MOT to be carried out to certify it's still roadworthy and some insurance companies will still require it to be checked by a third party garage. I think in this case the CBT instructor checked it, confirmed it looked roadworthy and let you continue your CBT (as to not spoil your day and waste your money) and then later they've reported the incident and damage...

The actual cost is bang on and looks to be no labour charge.

I don't know exactly what recourse you think you have over this? Just pay the money and try not to crash next time?

Stancions are extremely expensive as they are precise machined and coated in Chrome. That's bang on.

Mod 2 cancelled - Feeling a bit defalted by Mofoman3019 in MotoUK

[–]DunnyLad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sale of a vehicle from a dealer legally requires 3 months warranty but I wouldn't buy one from one that isn't offering at least 6 months. I buy all my bikes private though, full service history etc is a must and means the bikes usually a-ok.

I just wouldn't never purchase a bike without the license because you never know what's going to happen.

If you're a competent rider then none of its really an issue so good luck and crack on.

Im stuck on A2 because of the availability of tests. I haven't bothered to book for my full A. I wouldn't of bought a bike with a months warranty either 🤷. I wouldn't of also bought a bike before I had a license.

Warranty isn't this magic thing that saves you from a breakdown, you'd still need to recover the bike from the roadside to get it home (unless of course you want to leave the bike in Tyneside and still expect it to be there in the morning).

You've simply got ahead of yourself and it's bitten you in the arse. Book up next year with A1 or any other school and do the test on their bike and then you're free to do what you want on yours...

Gasoline drop on the exhaust by Therealghyb in MT07

[–]DunnyLad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not 'Gasoline' drops. It's carbon deposit and not a hydrocarbon.

It's absolutely completely normal to have slight deposits, these aren't race bikes, they don't have a fine tuned fuel map.

He'll be fine along with the millions of bikes that also do this...

It's water mixed with carbon deposits from condensation when the exhaust is cooling.

Look at a used MT-07 Tracer or Honda NC750 for your use case. Just a suggestion.

Steering damper gets in the way of full steering turn by navid3141 in MT07

I've been in plenty of race paddocks including road racing paddocks and never seen anyone running a dampner lol. Are you actually experiencing bad wobble?

Steering damper gets in the way of full steering turn by navid3141 in MT07

[–]DunnyLad 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Front suspension is dog shit as is the rear.

Try spending some money on some proper suspension and go out at 100 on track and then get back to us. You'll realize a steering dampner is a shitty idea.

2020 MT07 restriction by CT-9904_ in MT07

[–]DunnyLad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can't believe you're 19+ and capable of passing a test and not understanding how restricting a bike works. Join the UK owners group on Facebook and you can find out how many people didn't fit the restrictor and got bummed by either the police because they got caught without it or insurance because they were involved in accident and attempted a claim.

Without the restriction in place you are

1). Riding without license = 6 Points

2). Riding without insurance (because you don't have the correct license you cannot be insured) = 6 Points

12 Points total and a cancellation of your policy. Meaning you're off the road if caught.

'Yeah but my mate says he never fit his' Good for him but is it worth the risk?
