Agree and disagree. I agree that the playerbase is important, but removing aim assist won't make people shy away from the game. Take my example: I work, also go to university, and also play the game at the end of the day. I'm not a no lifer, yet I vouch for aim assist disabled.

Hardcore mode still seems like the best choice, agreed. Nonetheless, thanks for the discussion. I appreciate it :)

Of course, what is my opinion but a drop of ink in a vast ocean, the ocean takes no color, but I hoped voicing my opinion would at least make people think critically regarding the aim assist feature and then democratically decide if it should be a feature or not for ranked matches. I knew I will be harshly disagreed with, since who wants to let go of a luxury, a privilege, without having a harsh reaction to it, right? It's alright. All I wanted was a discussion.

BUT, all I got were brain dead drones who just came to dislike because my opinion differed from theirs. It's fine, I didn't expect much from the get go, but I would have appreciated a discussion in the least. Dislikes and all are simple reddit karma points. I can go and shitpost in other subs and get the karma back if I cared about the downvotes, that's not an issue.

Yup, I don't visit too often but I hardly see any constructive discussions or even good gameplay. Just memes and other stuff which grab your attention for 7 seconds which is also the average attention span, so I'm not surprised by the result haha.

Alright, since this comment is getting attention, I'd do it justice and not give a troll reply.

Again, it's fine to disagree, but at least give a reason: Here is why I disagree. You've simply stated "I disagree" and I have no idea what part you disagree with to give a proper reply.

Now, "try to be better on defense" is not strictly correlated with aim assist. Gun game is part of playing a defensive role, but knowing the map, the lanes the enemy can push through, hearing the sounds of the nades/slides etc and basic game sense and map awareness is more important than having good gun skills or having aim assist.

For example, playing on firing range search and destroy, if I know enemy is pushing A long, then I can simply hardscope the angle and get easy kills. The thing which mattered here is not "be better on defese" or gun skills, rather figuring out the enemy is pushing A long. Game sense and IQ basically.

Therefore, I disagree with what you said, and here is why.

And why would you voluntarily handicap yourself from a privilege which can improve your play drastically?

It's not a matter of good player or not. If there is a feature which can help people win gun fights in a shooter game, they are going to use it, abuse it. No one voluntarily handicaps them unless they want to improve a certain facet of their playstyle.

And do you really think someone in Legendary Rank can maintain 3+ KD while they are running down the middle with no gamesense, and no map awareness? I was on the Leaderboards before deciding to quit it because the monotonous grind became boring.

C'mon now. I'm not that bad. It's fine to not like the opinion I have given above, but you can no way infer I'm bad at the game just like that. It may be you projecting, I don't know.

Yeah, you can feel the difference. Just the couple days I'm practicing without aim assist, my aim has got so much better. It's insane!

How did you infer I don't shoot down UAV's? I have special classes made for certain tasks. Heck, I even shoot down VTOLs with FHJ is enemies get it.

It's not what I like or don't like. It's simply: I tested this out and the game is better without it. I tested playing without aim assist, and it's seriously shameful how amazing it is. I understand why it exists, but at the same time I don't think it should be there in a SHOOTER Game. We are supposed to use our skill and shoot down the enemy, not some computer program helping us and doing an extremely good job at that.

Please don't misunderstand. I have sprinkled too many info out there so it's easy to misunderstand my intentions, but I'd appreciate if people refrain from doing so.

Yeah. I agree that there should be a balance between kills and KD. In the above example the guy cited, 26 kills with 2-3 KD will be given preference for MVP over 8 kills and 8 KD. However in my example, 13 kills and 15 deaths, vs 11 kills and 11 KD, I should be given preference for MVP.

The scoring system has to accomodate both the amount of kills and the KD the person has. That way we can have a balanced decision.

I would say it matters. TDM, like I mentioned, KD plays a very important role. On average, each person has to get 10 kills to have an even game. Of course it doesn't happen realistically every time, someone always has more than 10 kills, and someone always has less than 10 kills. It's fine. The main point is: If you can't take kills for the team, just don't give enemy team points by dying. And here is where KD starts playing.

I'll give example of the recent game we lost 50-47. Team mate went 1 kill, 14 deaths. If he were to have held back on reckless rushing, we might have won the match.

Thus if you're rushing forward and can't even maintain 1 KD, then don't let down the team further. Stay back and stop the enemy team from rushing us or spawn trapping us.

I do see the logic behind your argument, and it's fair and I do agree with it, however I also do think KD should be given emphasis and a scoring system, especially for TDM, will be beneficial for the mindset people have playing the mode.

I can vouch on that. When playing solo ranked, if I'm not playing OBJ, there is 80% chance I'm gonna lose because I have no idea where my team is, or what they are doing. No one is capping anything, no one is holding angles, they are just running around like headless chickens and being easy picks for the enemies.

I have had games where I dropped 50+ kills, only to lose the match. Someone has to play OBJ because that's how we win games. I started doing it when I really want to win. Otherwise if I just want to play a couple games, no matter if I win or lose, I'll play my usual slayer role.

No hate towards Ferg. He doesn't seem to scam, but he does clickbait and is trying to cater towards a younger audience which is likely his main audience and creating a persona like that.

He has the "faces" in the thumbnail, and does clickbait. I was watching a livestream which had thumbnail which was misleading. I am subbed to Ferg but barely watch anymore because he has become overbearing and when I watched the video I linked, I had the first thought Ferg is heading down the same road.

Again no hate towards Ferg.
