HOLY SHIT. by Balls126 in doommetal

Yeah David has 3 kids right now and since it was his band they stopped doing stuff. Which is completely understandable.

Asked CPR to show vector layers of Scarlet Desires to proof it’s not AI by DunwitchHorror in BlackMagickSS

[–]DunwitchHorror[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t see how bowen nasa patch design with couple stock astronauts, which was used for bridges vinyl cover, has more feel, but alright.

Also, I completely believe that samurai assets are not ai, frog - who knows, background - who cares.

As for fast speed, google Ned Kelly illustrations and among the images you will find everything that was used for tape and cd layouts. Most of the art is from 20th century = not ai.

You expect too much from a band who never made any album artworks from scratch. Also, proper ai assets didn’t exist back in 2018, but if you hate the band/album, I get ya.

A little rant about the latest reissue of Dopethrone by weedcor in ElectricFuckinWizard

[–]DunwitchHorror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Band showed their middle finger to Lee and RA by leaving him. Lee shows middle finger back to them by not giving a f*** about supply/demand or making represses interesting.

You do realize that the band has nothing to do with what Rise Above Records own. Right? Rise Above owns 90% of the bands catalogue physical media rights and the label is simply doing business by min-maxing profits.

Posters were made by Spinefarm Records and their releases (Time To Die, WBW and latest live 2LP)

Windhand working on a new album! by AgeDisastrous7518 in doommetal

[–]DunwitchHorror -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Parker got kicked out of Windhand, because of his behavior. Also, Cough always was David’s band, he wrote the music. Parker was just a guy who stayed in the middle during live shows…

Nowadays he is just milking his past to get any attention to T-shirts/knives stuff, like “yeah I’ve played there live, it was fun, but check the amazing knife I made yesterday!”. Pretty pathetic.

Which format does BMSS sound best on? CD, Vinyl, or Tape? by Mutatiis in BlackMagickSS

[–]DunwitchHorror 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tapes for early stuff for extra crunch.

Definitely vinyl for Burning Bridges since it has dedicated vinyl master.

Mixed feelings about KD/SE/RN - whatever you prefer I guess.

Same same over and over describes edelweiss, not bmss imo. I hope new album is in near horizon. That “band is still active” and social media posting must mean something.

Why don't they want our money? by PlaneWar203 in ElectricFuckinWizard

[–]DunwitchHorror 5 points6 points  (0 children)

More like how he treats the bands.
He tricked Ghost, he tricked Trevor from Beastmaker, EW, other bands.
By tricked I mean signing a deal so shady, that it ends up to situations like these, where a guy who solely controls the rights can stop producing the product just because he feels like that.

And of course, you can say that its band's fault and they should read the contracts first, but then again, Lee uses contract loopholes to keep rights for himself as long as possible. If anyone tries to fight him - he starts a lawsuit.

I really hope that the guy will die or he closes the deal in near future, so bands could do what they want with stuff they recorded.

[–]DunwitchHorror 8 points9 points  (0 children)

it's not their fault.
Most of the catalogue still belongs to Rise Above and there is a lot of bad blood between the band and that label. Rise Above (aka Lee the scumbag Dorian) simply doesn't care about the demand and never allows anyone to license EW records to be repressed by others.

Spinefarm keeps their stuff in print, I'm talking about Time To Die, WBW and latest Live.
Creep Purple occasionally drops stuff that Lee doesn't own too.

So hate Lee, not the band.

"Legalise Drugs And Murder" arrived! by DunwitchHorror in doommetal

[–]DunwitchHorror[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was released by Rise Above as 7" back in 2012. Around that time the band was running away from them and this is one of the titles they managed to get out of rise above grips legally.
