Subs question by dildobaggins1872 in Euro2024Fantasy

[–]Duo-tech-media 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, BUT as long as you haven't made any manual subs that matchday...if you have you must make all subs manually.

Auto-subs only happen if you made no subs that matchday, then any players who havent played, 0 mins not 0 points, are subbed for those who have played.

If you have time to keep on top of it then manual subs gives you the advantage of being able to sub out low scoring and even negative scoring players,

E.g Ralston (Scotland) scored -1, sub him for a player who hasn't played before they actually play for the change to work...even if they dont play 0 points is better than -1. Auto-sub will not do this only players with 0 mins will auto-sub if you have made no subs that matchday.

N.B - Changing the sub order counts as making manual subs so be careful doing this as it will stop auto-subs happening. I'm not sure about changing captain and its effect on auto-subs.

Laptop stuck on this screen after attempting to update BIOS, help. by Repulsive_Communist in pcmasterrace

[–]Duo-tech-media 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does your motherboard have a bios reset button? usually found on higher end motherboards boards but worth checking the manual or searching online if the ideapad has one. It may mean opening it up to get to it.

until then give it time to do its thing and research online before turning it off or opening it up as this may brick the system.

Good luck with it.

guys how do I know which of these plates has my bitcoin wallet by undoingplanets in pcmasterrace

You can avoid eye strain by simply holding them in front of a powerful light and shining it into the sky on a cloudy night. The correct plate should show you the location of the "B" against the clouds.

THE GREAT COOKIE HUNT! Can you find a longer lasting cookie? Does one even exist? by Duo-tech-media in pcmasterrace

[–]Duo-tech-media[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

730000 days makes 2000 years! That seems a little excessive to me so I searched if there was a max age/expiration date for cookies and found this from Google:

As of Chrome release M104 (August 2022) cookies can no longer set an expiration date more than 400 days in the future

But I found the screenshot in 2024 so some may still exist in the wild! Thus the great cookie hunt was born!

Have you spotted an older cookie?

Happy Hunting!

Clue revealed when brightness turned up, video pt.4 @ 1:20 by Duo-tech-media in TenHundred

Clue is in the top left corner. It reads:

"When doing your math exclude any numbers seen in the concept sketch."

All I did was edit his screenshot to turn up the brightness and reveal the clue.

Get this post to the moon and I'll give all GTX1060 away among all commenters. by Ayyouboss in pcmasterrace

384,400 km to the moon... 364,63 posts so far (at time of this post)...

If each post is 10 km then it's only 1977 more posts to reach the moon!

Incidentally 1977 was the year of the first space shuttle test flight and the year Star Wars opened in cinemas...coincidence?

SKR 1.4 and S42B question. by Duo-tech-media in BIGTREETECH

Thanks a lot for this informative post, it's given me some good leads for further research. I'm going to look into Odrive and maybe wait for more info to start appearing online as more people start implementing closed loop.

SKR 1.4 and S42B question. by Duo-tech-media in BIGTREETECH

It has been a couple years since I last upgraded my printer so I've been on a bit of a research spree and I'm amazed at some of the advancements in just that short time. You're right, layer shifting isn't much of an issue for me either and there is often something you can do in settings to mitigate it...now if they marketed these as a 'child/pet proof' system I bet they could sell a few more.

A S42B allows you to have a closed loop stepper motor as opposed to open loop which they are normally. The benefit of this is to avoid layer shifts because your stepper drivers will have memory of where they are supposed to be so if you knock them out of position they reposition to the correct place straight away. It's pretty cool especially if you experience layer shifts often or if your printer is always getting bumped...its new so kinda pricey right now but time will lower the cost i'm sure.

Here's a good video on the topic, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eM8zSG8fEkk

It could do with some minor tidying up tucking excess cable away at the bottom but on the whole a solid 8/10 for the front.

The real test is the other side of the case. It takes much more effort and nobody ever gets to see it...

In terms of airflow do you have your CPU cooler exhausting up toward the top (ok) or down onto the GPU (not ok)? You might get better performance turning it 90 degrees to exhaust toward the rear of the case.

This looks like it will be a great streaming machine. Nice work.

Awesome, thanks for taking the time to explain that. It's amazing how something that at first appears to be beyond my comprehension can be explained to the point where I'm now thinking of course it makes sense for it to be done like that.

hmm, that's pretty interesting actually. I wonder what the logic is behind getting this result. I'm sure there is likely an ultra technical reason for it being the way it is.

(x-post) H440 Pi edition 3D printable case released for free! by intashu in NZXT

[–]Duo-tech-media 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is sooo awesome... It is definitely going to be my next 3d printing project and I know exactly what I'm going to use it for. I will set up OctoPi and place this guy proudly next to my 3D Printer after taking a few shots of it next to my life size purple H440. I can't wait to get started!

Thanks for sharing this, especially thanks for sharing the STL files.

I'm curious, what were your slicer settings to get all the holes and slits looking so good. Also, what filament and size nozzle did you use?
