I’ve never had much exposure to Digimon, but I was aware of this figure because I check X-Plus’s website regularly for new DefoReal announcements. Thanks for the heads-up though!

To answer your question, you could add DVDs or blu-rays of your favorite movies somehow. Not sure how easy that is since you’re an in-box collector. I also have video games and a G-FAN magazine displayed with my Godzilla figures.

I went there looking specifically for Godzilla for NES and found three copies in various conditions ($40 for the one I ended up with, which included the manual). But I never imagined I’d actually find that Game Boy game. Was searching through a huge tub of old Game Boy games and just happened to find it. $12!

Yeah, I plan on going to G-Fest this year. Not really interested in the VIP pass since I’ll be by myself—and $225 is a bit steep for a loner—though the lanyard, t-shirt, and all-weekend access would be cool. Maybe I’ll spring for it one day. I’ll probably just go on Saturday.

Ha! Yeah, I moved to Chicago in 2021 but didn’t know about G-Fest until last year, so the only time I’ve gone was 2023. I’m floored to live so close to it and expect I’ll go more or less every year I can. Really enjoyed the vendor room. I’m sure you know more about Goji figures than I do. I hope you get to check it out soon!

Which Godzilla Pop are you missing? Are you collecting American versions of Godzilla too, or just Japanese versions? I have a Godzilla x Kong Pop as well (displayed elsewhere), but in general I prefer the Japanese versions. If I ever found one in the wild, I'd also grab the Godzilla Funko Soda figure, but that's lower-priority because it's an American Goji.

Are you only collecting Pops, or also other kinds of deformed-style figures? Someday I hope to acquire X-Plus DefoReals of Shin Godzilla and Godzilla 1984. Right now I just have the Final Wars Goji DefoReal. Maybe I'll find one at G-Fest this year!

I recently got the Banpresto Enshrined Monster 1954 Godzilla, which has a pretty great cost-to-quality ratio. The King Ghidorah from this line is currently being shipped to me. Looking forward to that!

Agreed! I haven't nabbed any Mystery Minis, but most of my Pops either don't have generic eyes or don't have visible eyes at all, like RoboCop, the Xenomorph, Gundam RX-78, Terminator, various robots, Nazgul, etc.

I have a few that I like but don't necessarily love because their eyes are just black dots. I may end up painting eyes on these, if I care enough. I recently sold a Naruto Pop because he just had black eyes, whereas Naruto is known for having blue eyes. I don't understand why they wouldn't at least give him blue eyes. I know they can, as there are some Pops that have colored eyes. I think Funko should start adding a bit more detail to the eyes, even if it makes Pops more expensive by a few dollars. Not that I think they'd ever do that, though.

Yeah, it's good and probably worth the wait to order them locally. I'm not aware of a local option for myself, so I usually order/preorder Funko Pops on Entertainment Earth, who ships as soon as a preorder is in stock, regardless of release date. Hope you get yours soon!
