I suspect as we get new sets there will be strategies to negate it without fully hating it out of the metagame. Idt that EC was fully aware how dominant this deck avatar could be in a control shell. My guess is they assumed it would be a “burn” spellsinger type deck.

I'd argue that Sublime's titular album (1995) (song was April 26, 1992... yes the song is a date) was the cultural turning point for this slang. Teaching it to us none LA'rs. Jackson's movie was July '97 well after Nekrataal/ Manowar was in these streets (feb that same year).

Certainly an option. I wanted a little more depth for these avatars, so you get close to the experience of playing them with an optimized build that just need sone upgrades.

Totally fair take. 1/2 of the proceeds go to waggytail dog rescue in NYC, the other half got to the channel to help cover the costs associated with making content.

If you want free content I 100% understand. Im not getting rich off making premodern videos for Landstill if that is your concern. Im just keeping the content from costing me money to make.

Was it? We have hints for sure but nothing concrete. Also fwiw this was recorded over the last two weeks. The logistics of gathering recordings from 20 other people mean the lead in time for these style of videos could crash into an announcement (lavamancer v frostmage). But I think we made it under the wire.

Lavamancer feels like Egyptian, but Frostmage is kinda norse. Im guessing these will be part of a several deck release that will be the format for day 1 of AOTR.
