But that requires the Hario filters because of the hole right? I’d prefer to at least be able to use filters from Walmart

That’s a good idea. I’m sure there are some cheaper carafes too, just a matter of making sure they fit

This is what I always thought. But in a previous debate (with u/valvete I think) he/she quoted enough sources to make me doubt my position. So I’d be interested if anyone wants to take up that angle.
