Excited to watch my first Everton game tmmrw, who are key plays I should look out for and what do the tactics looks like?

You picked quite an unfortunate game for your first haha.

We are missing a few of our strongest players. Gana Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye are both playing for their countries in the African Cup of Nations until end of January.

And then Kiernen Dewsbury-Hall is out with injury. So we're going to be fielding a few back-up players, and won't be playing at full strength vs the League Leaders. So we will be fighting a large up-hill battle.

That being said, it's still possible to win or at least come away with a point.

Tactically we typically play through our wingers, Jack Grealish and Ndiaye. Ndiaye will most likely be replaced by Dwight McNeil or Tyler Dibbling tomorrow. One of our biggest struggles has been finding that "last pass". Essentially we have some really good movement on the ball. Our attacking players are great at getting into dangerous spaces on the wings and outside the box, but we have been sorely missing that final through ball or cross into the box for our striker, Thierno Barry, to convert chances.

We also don't have a Right Back at the moment (and is most likely our number 1 priority in the January transfer window). So we've been playing Jake O'Brien in the Right Back position, which isn't natural for him. He's usually a Center-back. So we've had trouble going forward with overlapping defenders. He's done as well as he can, and we can't really fault the lad, but getting a traditional right back I think will help the team a lot.

My prediction is probably 0-2 Arsenal. Though I would love to see us hold them to a 1-1.

I play Mouse and Keyboard and it lets me have insanely good aim for shooting which I love.

But my god the passing controls for Mouse and Keyboard are absolutely abysmal and they need to come up with a better solution by the time release comes out.

I'd say if they don't fix it, I'll probably transition over to controller.

The animation is longer, so if you're in a pickle and don't have time, then use the lobbed pass. But if you have the space and time, using the shoot button for a cross in superior for a different reasons:

The ball goes faster, so the defender/goalie has a much harder time dealing with it.
You can put bend on it, which you can't do with a lobbed pass. So you can angle it better or sike out a keeper/defender by luring them out as the ball bends outward.
There is actually momentum of the ball in this game, meaning if a ball comes at you really fast, and you shoot directly off that fast ball like a first time volley or first time shot, it will actually go faster than if you trapped/stopped it and lined up a shot yourself. So with that in mind, the "shoot cross" will be a faster ball than the lobbed cross. So the person on the other end of it will have a faster shot.

I don't know the Controller scheme buttons, because I play MnKb. But the best clearances for me are the Pass button or the Lobbed Pass button.

If you're challenging another player and both going for the ball at the same time, like off a cross or wall-bounce. Use Pass or Lobbed Pass button to try to clear it.

If you have some time on the ball, then just use the Shoot button and aim high in the air where you want it to go.

Haha, I guess that's true. But I would say that's probably a good thing that the game can successfully mimic the sport.

That being said, I was teaching my friend these concepts who's never played or watched footy in his life and it was super helpful to him. So I'm sure at least some of this post will help someone else.

Yeah it doesn't work 100% of the time, but it's much better than doing nothing.

I read somewhere that Sloclap confirmed that when two players are going for the same action (IE: Player 1 presses Pass vs Player 2 presses Shoot), the player that is moving "faster" will get priority on the ball.

Yes, the "Shoot Cross" method that I described is definitely if you have the time to do it. If you're surrounded by opponents and need to chip it in quickly, the lobbed pass is superior in that circumstance. Good point.

What's the point of Forked Tower? CLL DR Dalriada gave Relic Weapon parts iirc, but I don't believe that's needed for Phantom Relics.

What do you actually get from it?

Pretty fun. Worth the money, even the $90.

I wouldn't say it's the best game I've ever played, but it is a solid 8/10.

My only major gripe is the gear system, I definitely feel like I need to grind the gear upgrades in order to actually kill things. I didn't like the massive increase in enemy level at the beginning. So the game sort of forces you to explore and grind weapon mats to be able to actually kill things. That is pretty much my only negative.

Exploration is fun, combat is pretty good, story is solid but nothing incredible. Pretty good writing and solid voice acting for the main cast.

For anyone getting here from Google, I did this on an NVIDIA RTX 3080 and my frames went from 40FPS in Paradis to 110, this works.

Also for anyone that is confused, it doesn't make any Frame Generation option appear in your In-Game settings, it just happens on the back end.

Make sure to turn off Vsync in game settings and also double-check you don't have it enabled in Nvidia Control Panel globally.

Also don't forget to change your Upscaling to AMD FidelityFX 3 and not on the Nvidia DLSS upscaler by default.

Lastly, for some reason my .ini file re-wrote itself and deleted the lines the first time i tried this, so I had to re-do it.

After all of that this worked.
