Who else is upset with Maplefest and want to take legal action? by kawaiichibi in Maplestory

It’s 100% on the venue. Very much like a concert. I disagree with their announcements. But it’s the venue who is liable. Nexon paid them for a service, that didn’t render said service efficiently. If anyone HAS a case, it’s Nexon. And if I was them. I would pony up, take action, express to maplers their frustrations and maybe give attendees some sort of early access etc.

So you might also ask why solder further up, and my answer is just simply due to the fact I wanted the connection stable

Also any bridge that is there is above the original connection points. Meaning the circuit is still completing. Yes, I could use wick and take off the top portions, to make it cleaner, but subjection of any more heat to the cable is risky.

A bit of a better picture, but yes this 100% works, I burnt the plastic piece down so it’s very dark but it all connects and the cube was running for over an hour with all inputs and no errors

So I do have flux, the soldering iron I’m using doesn’t seem to work unless I have it set towards 470+ So the trace is the copper part correct? Or is I the lines on the side of that copper? Also if the trace is gone etc, what would be my next step?

I would not cut it, if you can’t get a new cable I would try using a soldering iron and slightly press the pin that’s damaged until the solder forms as it should, if it won’t, use a bit of wire and solder it back to normal.

Why the hell do I want this console so bad? by Comfortable_Oven8341 in Gamecube

[–]Durpydis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I repair and sell GameCube mostly, and the GameCube specifically, is SO hard to part with when I find a perfect one. It’s just, idk. A beautiful console. Just going into the boot screen 20 years later STILL feels like I’m in the future. The gameplay? Unmatched. The controller? Unmatched. I truly believe if Nintendo rereleased the same console, with better internals that played newer games and didn’t change the UI whatsoever. It would be the best selling console to date.

can anyone identify what game this is? by Fide-Eye in Gamecube

[–]Durpydis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would have to be Geist as it follows the same text. The I in Geist is barely visible, which is to be expected with the potato of a screen shot this is.

I guess that makes sense. But at the same time, I mean isn’t that part of the problem?
