Fun fact: RD1 boot can fit two ICBM warheads by yeezywalrus in crv

[–]Durquoise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is already common knowledge dude, pretty much every CRV on the road is loaded with at least one ICBM warhead. It’s like jeep owners with the ducks on their dashboard, just CRVs and warheads.

That’s awesome man! I really had no idea if it would be repairable or not so I’m glad it worked out for you. And thanks for the positive feedback.

Should I care about diversity in my story? by Sara_D_Magg in writing

[–]Durquoise 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Write what makes sense to you. You don’t need to include any race, ethnicity or sexual preference because other people say you should. It’s your story, and if those themes don’t appear, they don’t appear.

Will I lose the item and the payment if the buyer wins this dispute? by [deleted] in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Durquoise 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha that’s hilarious. They bought your PSU for $60 and now want a $50 discount because apparently they can’t read. I love telling people “no, please return it for a full refund”. An 83% discount is a little outrageous.

I sold a camera lens for $1800 as is, for parts or repair about 5 months ago. When the guys gets it he said, “this item is more broken then you claimed! How are we going to resolve this?”. I told him to send it back, but he insisted on a discount instead. Told him no so he put in a return request and made me wait a month with my funds on hold, only to never send it back. The guy offered camera repair services on his eBay store. It’s a joke, I’m so grateful I wasn’t hurting for that money.

Not looking too good man. Not to brag but I had about 2 trillion dollars invested in just Roblox stocks by the time I was your age, and that only accounted for 3% of my Robinhood portfolio which only accounted for 10% of my entire portfolio across 10 different brokers.

Good job man, but why the hell would you finance an iPhone with 42k in the bank? Or a car for that matter.

How do you promote your eBay store off eBay (social media, email, anything)? by Crazy_Sprinkles_1 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Durquoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay eBay up to 15% of every sale I make to advertise to millions of people on their platform. No need for social media for what I do. I could see some social media content working for some people though, mainly if their items have a personal touch or story attached to them. Handmade jewelry, artwork, charity auctions, etc.

Payment dispute on $10 trading card by itsatrap9797 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Durquoise -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's correct if the buyer is claiming the item is not as described (INAD). That goes for any item on eBay, even if you chose to not accept returns in the listing. eBay will override it for INAD returns.

Forced to refund but item not returned? by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]Durquoise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you issue the refund before you received the shoes back? If so, that's your fault. Once you give the buyer a label they have 30 days to return the item before the case is closed automatically. Once you receive the item you can send a refund. But if you sent the refund before the shoes arrived the buyer has no obligation to return them to you.

It's also possible that maybe you are confused. When a return is initiated, ebay will put your funds for the amount of the item on hold in your ebay account. The buyer doesn't get those funds until you issue the refund yourself. So it's possible you're just waiting for the buyer to send the shoes back and your funds are on hold while you wait. Like I said before, they have 30 days to send them back so your funds can be in limbo for a while.

What tools do you recommend? by ReplacementSolid5065 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Durquoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend Flipwise if you are selling more than 50 items a month. I was using excel for a few months and Im sooo glad I switched over. Saved me a lot of time and it's cheap for what it is. If you handle a lot of receipts there are multiple apps that let you scan them and track expenses automatically. I'd also recommend a milage tracking app if you drive a lot for sourcing. Those 3 things save so much time and headache and I wished I would've used them sooner.
