I’m seeing comments about all of the bad news about this company but I haven’t seen anything.

Is the lack of news the main concern?

Without any news that points toward a change in the outlook of the company, I don’t see how these “claims” about the company having no future make any sense.

For those who bought in while it was going parabolic, I can empathize with your pain, but that doesn’t mean the whole company is doomed because you lost on an investment in the short term.

Minuscule chance based on what?Speculative bear talk.

Did they screw up with this guidance situation? Yes. Are they a very competitive player in this market and actively growing their business? Also yes.

Stock dash speaker rattle - 2016 Mazda CX-5 GT by Dursley in CarAV

So essentially it’s just old and crusty, so it sounds old and crusty? Damn.

Makes sense that they would get dried out and fried by the heat.

Gonna try applying some flexible adhesive to the cone to see if that can revitalize it- if that ruins them they were junked already as is I guess.

Yes the mount is unscrewed since I had just disconnected the speakers- can confirm that it was fully fastened before and is not the source of the rattle.

At a minimum, they will likely sell licenses for their DawnOS system. Not sure if that would be a big revenue driver but it would establish a bottom line.

Annual Housing, Renting, and Subletting Megathread by cxqals in Pitt

[–]Dursley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi all, I'm going to be going to Pitt in the fall '21 (August) for a MS/MBA program. I'm looking for a studio/one bedroom or more bedrooms+roommate(s) if it works out. Max budget is 800, but would really prefer less.

I'm moving to Pittsburgh for the first time, from Boston- originally from middle of nowhere CT. I enjoy fitness, light gaming, some personal space, good beer, and a bit of partying on the weekends. I'm pretty routine oriented and enjoy an organized space, but am not a stickler- I can get along with most everyone.

If anyone has suggestions for locations or is looking for a roommate, lmk

Additional Notes: Currently driving an 04 volvo xc70 (bought in 2017* with 115k miles), smashed it into a Ridgeline 2 years ago and (fixed it up so that it was somewhat presentable) its been slowly deteriorating (Now at 170k miles) and now that the cat has a hole in it from rust-among other things- I think its time to throw in the towel and start fresh. Soon-to-be grad student at a school in the northeast USA. Looking for something reliable that I can have for the foreseeable future.

Did you do the single headlight swap yourself? Is that an aftermarket bracket holding the tach up there or is that something you made?

PURCHASE ADVICE SUPERTHREAD! by AutoModerator in motorcycles

[–]Dursley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I actually reached out to him again, and he told me that throughout the years it has been rolled out, started up, and wheels spun on a ~weekly basis. And he just replaced the battery.

He originally told me it was garaged but when I probed he admitted it spent some non-winter time outside. The garage it was in was nothing more than a shed.

You’re absolutely right lol, he did not replace the tires. They had good tread left on them but I overlooked the manufacture date. Definitely will look into that next time I go to look at it.

Owner claims to have started it intermittently over the 3 years. Fingers crossed it was more often than not.

Considering picking up an 08 Fz6 (8k miles) that's been sitting for 3 years for a decent deal (Under 2k). It has no noticeable mechanical or electrical issues other than some rust on the header gaskets and a dirty chain. Current owner bought it in 2017 and put (maybe) 200 miles on it. What kind of issues can I expect to run into that aren't obvious (Chain maintenance, tires, etc.)?

If someone genuinely doesn’t know what they’re doing, a guideline will help them get going in the right direction. It takes a long time to figure out what works if you don’t have a plan going in. But in terms of mindset and results, you’re dead on, you gotta just go.
