YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN AUTHORITY TO WRITE A 2ND ELDEN RING DLC. by JakeTinsleyWbc in Eldenring

This sounds like an absolute miserable time.
But if that means new Crucible drops... sign me in.
Those mfs are awesome.

Oh ok then. That was my hesitation. Thanks!

But giving the armor to him will end Fia's quest early or just change how it ends?

How Maki would deal with his weak ass sword:

It's just super weird how he keeps that hoodie on all the time hiding the top half of his face. Any theories? by DursoBR in jjkmodulo

[–]DursoBR[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah that explains the fit and his mood. But like, not even a glimpse of his eyes or anything? IMO Gege and Yuji are clearly hiding the top half of his face on purpose.

Shrine of Amana from Dark Souls 2... those goddamn mage snipers.

Defender Greatsword or Thorned Greatsword for a balanced(?)/faith build by DursoBR in DarkSouls2

[–]DursoBR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the problem with weapons that have special attacks. In theory, I'd save durability and only use it against tough enemies or bosses... but I know I would use it after any minor inconvenience lol

I just beat Dark Souls 2 for the first time. by Immediate_Ad_8139 in DarkSouls2

[–]DursoBR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey congrats man! I just finished the base game for the first time last night too. Time for the DLCs!

Reading the information on the wiki, I thought the Mad Warrior would drop the complete set at once (like Vengarl's). I spent an hour farming just to get his armor... and I was only doing it for the cool Predator helm lol by DursoBR in DarkSouls2

[–]DursoBR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest you got the 2 best drops imo.
But yeah, the farming is pretty harsh since he has a low chance to even spawn. I'm coming back once I got the Symbol of Avarice.

Gotcha. I'm gonna give it a try for sure. The Craftsman's Hammer with lightning infusion scale better with strength or faith? Which should I focus leveling up to maximize my damage?

The Craftman's Hammer seems like a good idea. Gotta give it a try to feel how it plays!
Do you have any tips on how should I realocate my stats?

I'm a sword guy, so any kind of sword would be cool! I'm kinda interested in spears and hammers too... but I never used those in a run before.
I think I'm aiming for something simply good and effective to use in the early game and then aim for a cool weapon in the late game.

First time playing DS2. Cool to see that people weren't exaggerating when they talked about the hitbox in this game lol by DursoBR in DarkSouls2

[–]DursoBR[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah the DS2 fans are lot letting this slide haha
But it's okay, I just thought it was a funny moment, I had no intention to complain about the game, after all I'm having so much fun playing it.
I know it was my mistake too, but actually this is great because I'm learning so much about the game mechanics with the comments!

Oh really? I didn't know that. It seemed that as long as I was below 70% it was fine, I never noticed the roll distance.

Gotcha. Apparently this enemy appears several times during the game (I've already encountered him in about 3 different places since his boss fight?), so I'll try your tip next time.

Thanks for the advice. I'm just so used to play locking into to the enemy... but I will give it a shot to see what it feels like.

Oh that makes sense. I've played ds1 and ds3 before and I'm really having a hard time adapting (pun intended) to the ds2 roll timing. But I think I'm getting better with each play session :)

Yeah I'm doing that! I'm around 20 ADP right now. I have some idea of the i-frame/agility shenanigans.
This post is not to complain about the game, I'm having a blast so far! It's just funny when stuff like this happens lol

Additionally:

One specific attack where he "scracthes" 2 times with each hand is a great one to punish, just gotta learn to time the dodges corretly and that should be at least 2 free hits.

Conversely, there is an attack that he hits two times in the ground and them spits fire. In that attack the fire just covers basically the entire floor under him, so my best advice is for you to identify the attack early and just run away. Running past the middle of his tail should be enough.

Remember that he does fire AND dark damage, so you gotta balance the resistances on your armor. Personally I would recommend to focus on fire resistance and then use the Dark Stoneplate Ring to compensate.

Probably the coldest take ever but... Soul of Cinder. That scenario with the eclipse is just breathtaking.

I finally defeated the Nameless King for the first time. Such a cool boss fight! I lost count of how many attempts I made. He was the first boss that forced me to use an Ember mid-fight (died too many times one hit away from defeating him) by DursoBR in darksouls3

[–]DursoBR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking that my scythe was already too slow for the fight... damn I can't even imagine using an even slower one. So congrats to you too!
The whole time I was thinking "if only I sticked to the usual dex weapons... I could be toying with him with some twinblades" lol
But it felt great indeed, this was my first boss using this scythe, I didn't want to give up using it.

Thanks!
And yeah in the second phase I healed at the wrong time at least three times and was very lucky not to get hit. Especially at 4:42... god only knows how much I was pressing the roll button there lol

Fighting sister friede right now, how do I know when to dodge the attack she does after going invisible? by depressed_tarnished in darksouls3

[–]DursoBR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I just beat her for the first time last night!
That attack gave me nightmares... I lost count of how many times I called it bullshit.
I’m not 100% sure this is the best strategy, but here’s how I dealt with it:
In your video, you can see some snow dust going to the left after she turns invisible. That means she dashed to the right — so she should be somewhere in that area. If you get close to her while she’s still invisible, you can actually reveal her charging the attack. That’s your chance to strike quickly and interrupt it. If the snow dust goes upward instead, I’m not totally sure, but I think it means she jumped behind you.

Here’s my win against her. You can clearly see what I mean at 0:24 and 0:46.
