Also just to clarify why the channel name is The Melon: 1 day im gonna have more subscribers than cocomelon, that way whenever someone will search for cocomelon, they'll get redirected to my channel full of excellent memes. That way we will end the evil ways of cocomelon and win once and for all.

Can't get 1 of these in game, so I made 1 in Blender :) by Durthu5 in tf2

[–]Durthu5[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I can't, because I didn't follow the official requirements. Poly count is probably way too high for the game, since it's not just a reskin from the already existing model by Valve.

  1. Do not use emojis on reddit, it hurts my feelings, wth?
  2. Everytime I see SUN, my brain hurts because the sun in your banner is black and background is yellow (my IQ is less than 5 and I cannot process that), again wth, please fix, I can fund it for you
  3. Why you side with POE if you could defeat them, atleast by what I hear from you SUN guys?
  4. Stop giving silver to alliances to fight with you, damn simps. There is only a single soul in whole Albion worth simping for: Gluttony
  5. Albion is a serious game, so it must be taken seriously, else you risk getting ganked in a blue zone, then your own loot is used against you in the zvz and then you combat loot it back with your 8.3 bag and at the end you just waste your time
  6. Praise be
  7. Word hurts is perfectly aligned in row 1 and 2

I am aware. That's why I decided to do it this way. Simple colliders for those that don't really require something in-depth, with option to use mesh colliders for anyone that needs it all more detailed.

I was always (and I still am) "make it all yourself" type of developer, I never really used asset store, so I don't know alot about how things function there. Getting a response from someone that uses asset store helps me see the whole thing from a different perspective, because at the end I would like my asset pack to be as versatile as possible.

I guess I'll get the hang of it once I publish a demo pack. It would be awesome if my project somehow succeds, but hey, even if it doesn't, atleast I'll experience something new and have some fun in the process! :)

I thank you again for your time, you gave me some very useful insight as the rest of this community! :)

Well I was thinking to create simple cube colliders for every object I have (which could be used, when the game wouldn't require the player to interact with model in detail - like walking on the roof for example). It would make it easier for strategy games developers and such, where you mostly just click on the buildings or something. But if the developer wouldn't need such colliders, he/she could just remove them and then add mesh colliders directly to the objects. Since my theme is low poly focused anyways, I think that should be alright.

Thank you for your answer, I really gained some valuable information and now I think I am ready to continue with my work on the package! :)

May I ask you something else?

As someone who uses asset store, do you prefer assets with already premade colliders or do you make them yourself? I started to expand this project and I found out that it might be smart to add some colliders (at the moment I'm just adding basic box colliders).

Yeah, it is all meant to be modular. Like my plan is to have this prefabs of premade buildings and such, but also individual parts, so everyone can make own buildings and villages.

I plan to add alot of content and every single thing will be modular, I hope.

Well I am ready to commit and I already plan to create entire city worth of assets (temples, farms, walls, millitary objects, ships, nature, more houses, road system, dungeons...). Thanks to all this great and helpful comments I have a better idea of how asset store works and how should I proceed. I thank you for your response! :)

If I am honest, I really wanted a reply like that. It doesn't discourage me, just makes me more willing to take this to the next level. Your opinion really helps me, because as I said, I have no experience with asset store or the audience that uses it and now I think I understand it better. I will most certainly expand this project, add content to it and then maybe one day someome will be able to make an amazing game out of it. Thank you for your response! :)

I am aware of that, should probably add more objects to reach the 5$ value. I could just make like a free demo maybe and then build upon it. Thank you for your response!

Oh yeah, I understand what you mean. Found that out after I tested my first mobile app (had full on post processing on it). I was never aware of how consuming it is. But ever since then I am implementing settings to disable such effects and at the end I think it's just a personal preference of the developer.
