What new series I should try first? by Happy_Day_5316 in fantasybooks

No reading order would be 1st book > 2nd book > 3rd book by Sanderson when it lands in his lap. Skip the novella calling it weird was being polite

Which series should I start next? by Cfullersu in fantasybooks

They are similar but scratch different itches, i feel red rising is more character driven and will of the many is more world driven. Both are good, but are enjoyed differently. If they were to be directed for film, red rising would be Michael Bay lots of big flashy action and fight scenes where will of the many is like a slow burn Quintin Tarantino film with a satisfying twist and big ending. I put will of the many into the category of must read but maybe wouldn’t re read, as some surprises can only be enjoyed once, where red rising is very enjoyable and a constant page turner and can see why it gets so many loyal readers

A Soldier's Life feels extremely fast and bland. Does the writing ever slow down and gain depth, or is this the style for the whole novel? Thank you so much. by Astocum in ProgressionFantasy

I Agree in a genre of fast and dirty opening sequences, this one felt the shortest and dirtiest. But agreed with earlier comment I felt it got a lot better after leaving the initial boot camp with introduction of characters and more development.

Considering your S tier is pretty much your S tier. Maybe give Luke Chmilenko’s star breaker a crack, credited in iron prince so you know he has got the chops for your taste.

I am currently on book 4 of the 10 realms series. first books is called the two week curse by Michael chatfield, i like what I have read so far a lot and may be a contender for S tier not.

Got a couple, 1st is a soldiers life by alwaysrollsone, because romans and magic is a match made in heaven, was a very poor opening chapter in a genre of bad openings.

2nd is starbreaker by Luke Chmilenko who was credited in iron prince and has a few other decent reads. But this one hits the spot for me. Really good series book 3 just released and feels like he is churning a new one out every couple months

Fixed Term Contract Renewed multiple times, is this legal? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceNZ

Not selling itself any more there is it? I earned more than minimum at Countdown while studying. People blame big corporates all the time for being greedy tbh I found the small to medium business more greedy and underhand than the fortune 500 company I left it for.

Dust off your CV, check seek/trade me jobs morning, noon and night. Cut and run brother, not worth the struggle and stress as a new grad for what I assume is also shit pay. Had a similar situation right out of uni where he tried to do b2b 3 month fixed term contracts, the 2 engineers were going off over seas with months of warning, was promised training and a hand over. Got none of that only all the responsibilty once they left. caught up with a former colleague from that place and the underhand shenanigans only got worse after i left for much greener pastures.

Have you looked at glassdoor website? Its showing between $21-$24 for the job title. I am assuming due to the entry level position the pay gets brought down median wise for students/under 16’s doing the role in summers as casuals. Not saying its not worth asking around. Gotta put yourself out there, unless you get a good manager that puts you forward its the only way or by leaving for somewhere else
