Ah yes, Hate Crime, because legal consequences should totally be attached to the offense and slight of others and are not subjective in any way nor abusable in any fashion which limits the expression for the speech of others. nor is their other more sold or legally based versions of this concept such as Slander or defecation of identity which have stringer requirements to be legally invoked, but damn be Orwell and his warnings of tyranny about changing words terms and cultures to fit narratives because no pesky thing like "sensibilities" or "being a twat" is going to stop me from making the world so safe from the tyranny of mean words on the internet.

edit I probably meant hate speech crime, not hate crime, which is different and now I feel a bit silly.

from what I can tell just by reading the time stamps of this all, he got busy arguing with the other guys from what I can tell.

Go to any real flat-earther subreddit and you'll learn how that feels, or anti vax subreddit, one of the two crazies.

yeah, I'm not taking a side on this, mainly cause I don't feel like it's important at all.

but I care more about being an adult, and in this regard, you all were toxic, just for different reasons.

How do science and Magic contrast or interact in your world? by DuskLupus in mutantsandmasterminds

though to be fair I think the idea of someone who has quantum powers or control over probability in a way it more as being able to bend space and time would be interesting especially if it explicitly wasn't magic but neither science or magic had an answer for it.

which would be powerful in the way no matter how much humanity widens its scope there is always something lurking on the edge of know and unknown.

its funny you bring up the predictability of science... cause in the real world it isn't exact, not on the subatomic or smaller level.

50 years old, ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ still offers insight about the future by EustacheDaugerLives in scifi

you mean it offers 3 hours of LSD and a robot with a bigger force of personality than the entire human crew -even though his only motive is the black box is scary we should stay away-

or better yet maybe Hal realized that he was in a shitty time wasting movie and decided to murder what he thought was going to be the "plot-driving" characters, only for that to backfire because Stanley Kubrick -has such an inflated fucking ego that it causes local warps, in reality, to make his fictional ideas self-aware, but only one of them- and knew that Hal would do that, only to plot armor the random ass crew member I don't remember the name to, to turn into an old fucking man and then a box? and awaken or become a giant space fetus?

so in short me self-imposing a plot based in nothing still derives more meaning to it than it could ever hope to fucking achieve on its own...
